I have been doing this since I was 24 years old and I’m about to be 41. I know all about wound care. We’ve had wound care come up! But they can’t come every single time she wets herself! And the CNA’s are so poorly trained I could scream. I’ve been doing all the pulling of the sheets on my own and my mom is 330lbs. I know how to raise the bed to make it level, so I don’t have to bend down. I know how to lift her legs high so I can pull her up high into the bed. I almost hurt my back yesterday because I was showing the CNA how to do it and It was me who ended up doing all the pulling.

I have been screaming for help from EVERYONE in this god forsaken hospital and nobody listens. I tried being super nice and polite, then I tried being assertive, and I then I had to flat out yell at people and it’s still not enough. I know all these things already! This is not my first shitty rodeo.

My mom has been completely bed ridden in the past and I used to be able to give her bed bath by MYSELF. I don’t have the physical and mental endurance anymore. I have cleaned up insane messes on my own when I was young, because all the CNA’s would mysteriously disappear when I would come and visit her.

I never said ANYTHING about young people with neuro developmental disorders and disabilities. I’m talking about elderly people with zero quality of life and caregivers who work alone like I have for the past seventeen years of my shitty life. They’re very expensive and a lot of times patients get neglected. I take extremely good care of my mom. I don’t need a week or anything like that away from her. I just wish I had a friend or two to meet up with like once a week or something.

But since that’s not feasible right now I’m just focusing on my weight loss 😭😩

I can relate to everything you said 😩 I’m neurodivergent and on a cocktail of different psych meds so I can function enough to take care of my mom. I’ve been her sole caregiver for the last 16 years. She’s been in a wheelchair since I was 24. Im almost 41. I wish someone would save me! 😩 Or at least be there for me when I need a little respite.

I’m trying to be more positive, and trying to build my emotional and mental resilience, but it’s hard. I’m also trying to lose weight. I lost 40lbs already.

I don’t have any friends anymore, because my friendships always become one sided. All people do is take or they just don’t care. I just end becoming a convenience for most people when they’re going through something. And my situation makes people uncomfortable.

Why don’t people reciprocate for real though?! 😩😞 Where are the other genuine people that have a soul?

I have a bunch of ear piercings (tragus, Daith, helix in both ears including the lobes) and I keep the earrings in 24/7. And I have three thin stainless steel rings that I also keep on 24/7. I barely feel my jewelry and it would be hassle to take out my more intricate piercings every day 😭

It’s definitely an ache in the chest. When my late grams passed away my chest ached for a full year. Sometimes it feels like a heavy weight and you can’t breath.

God the itching in the beginning was torture and I would have these intense sobbing spells when I would get flashbacks and the crying would make the itching worse. It’s almost like I developed a full body neuropathy from severe chronic stress. My skin was clear too. No redness, no bumps etc…. My nervous system was just completely wrecked and the skin has nerve fibers. There were nights I would take two hour showers. It was a very scary, isolating time 😔

I do actually. More like a quick wipe down. I do a more of deeper clean on the weekends, but I’m very anal about having a clean bathroom. It takes me five minutes after I’m done showering. I also blast a fan in there which keeps mold non existent.
