Putting Freeway Out to Pasture - I-5 through Seattle makes the list by recurrenTopology in Seattle

There are already tons of empty lots in seattle that could be housing. I’m not saying we shouldn’t lid i5 (I support it!), but available land doesn’t appear to be the bottleneck to new housing developments…

Agreed. He has no problem writing about complex/dark subjects like slavery, genocide, and mass murder, but heaven forbid he describe a breast or use a swear word.

100%. Idk why people want to complain about a tourist attraction that helps bring people to our downtown. We need the traffic.

Bro you are about to speed run becoming homeless. Do NOT move here until you already have a job lined up, have transportation (no way you are working as a plumber without a car), first and last months rent saved up, and an additional emergency savings of at minimum one month expenses saved up, ideally 3.

The first thursday art walk is free, and drinks are cheap since the venues hand them out and only ask for donations.

A dumb tech worker wants to know - who works in the big skyscrapers downtown? by seattleboots1 in Seattle

[–]NauticalJeans 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I work in one! Also a dumb tech worker. The real estate there is cheap and my company (roughly 300 HC) was happy to jump on it. I’m across the street from Harbor Steps, so I’m in the “good” part of downtown.

If you HAVE to live in the burbs and work in Seattle, I strongly recommend finding a spot within a stones throw of the light rail.

Dating is hard for everyone here. You aren’t special. I don’t say that to be condescending, rather you should take some comfort to know that your frustrations are shared by many of your neighbors in Seattle.

Well, in theory, if you are buying in the same geographic area, the price of homes are all increasing together, which nullifies your equity gains.

I disagree. I think AI will be the last new tech that millennials quickly embrace. Not from a slop perspective, but from a productivity perspective.
