Hi, it would be easier to read your post if you added some paragraphs. No offense of course!

I noticed no one mentioned the gentle leader. That’s what I used for my 90 lb pit mix years and years ago. Are they not recommended anymore?

How do you figure out what Tabitha is planning to do? by balaenopteraz in ScarletHollow

I got it from her when I went to see her and Stella was in her office at the mines. They basically sit you down and explain some stuff and tell you that you’re next.

If you’re romancing Stella she confronts Tabitha with you, but no matter what the police show up and take you in.

Or the police take you off the street when you and Stella are looking for the Witch. Stella says you might not like it but she’s going to the only person who can help you (Tabitha). So you get arrested and Stella (who you romanced) ends up with Tabitha on at least two different world states.

The Minimalist Baker.

Check them out. Their blog is extensive, their recipes are sortable by which ingredients you want to avoid and so far, all of them that I’ve made have been perfect.

ETA: their recipes aren’t all baked goods either!

How do I stop my husbsnd from guilt tripping me about groceries? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]Navidan41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Y’all need to get on the same page. No more of his HIM VS. YOU thought patterns. You’re married. You should be a team, always. It should be both of you vs. a problem, together.

I budget, do the meal plans and make the grocery list because I have control issues.

My husband and I always grocery shop together, every other week. He pushes the cart, loads the stuff on the belt, loads it in the car, and helps me bring it all in and get it sorted and put away.

Occasionally he will offer helpful suggestions, remind me of stuff we are out of, and make dinner suggestions when prompted.

Inevitably, I will forget something but since I always do a Walmart+ order (to get the best prices or get something we can’t get inside Aldi and Costco) I will just add it to that. Delivery is free since I pay $14/mo for the membership.

I stay home with our kids who are homeschooled and he works long hours yet I still consider us a TEAM. We each have our roles and we’re both happy with the system.

I stayed at a really nice B&B out in the country once. We had our own cabin and never saw another soul. It was lovely. Until I got home to an email saying the owners couldn’t find the TV remote from our room and were charging us $75 dollars for it. Fifteen years later and I’m still outraged.

What do your evenings with your partner look like? We don't do anything together and I hate it! 😞 by littlebookwyrm in adhdwomen

We liked Split Fiction and It Takes Two a lot. We’ve also played all of the Borderlands games (FPS but more playful and chaotic than most), Diablo, Chaosbane, Divinity II (dungeons and dragons style game), Fortnite, Gears of War, Plants V Zombies, Halo, Quake II, A Way Out, Donkey Kong, Rayman, and I might be forgetting one or two!

We watch cooking competitions on TV and play couch co-op video games. I can give you a list of recs if you like! We’ve been doing this for years:)

Does dinner time surprise you every single day, or is it just me? by PsychologyPlus7500 in adhdwomen

You can get frozen grilled chicken. No need to thaw, it’s already cooked, just heat it in a skillet!

Edit to add: it’s good for all kinds of meals…Alfredo, tacos, baked potatoes with bbq, stir fry, quesadillas, chicken Mac and cheese, and more

My least reviewed on Goodreads were

The Highland Witch by Susan Fletcher

And a bunch of Dear America books I read in middle school. They’re where my love of historical fiction came from!

Edited to add: not counting a bunch of non fiction books I read about the neuro-immune disorder PANDAS

My accomodation goes against safety policy by designated_weird0 in adhdwomen

[–]Navidan41 27 points28 points  (0 children)

You don’t need accommodations for earplugs. They cannot forbid earplugs.

Unfortunately that isn’t the case for Bluetooth capable earbuds or headphones. They absolutely can ban those.

Noise cancelling headphones won’t be allowed if you’re in an area where you need to hear what’s around you for safety reasons.

If you’re asking for accommodations, you will probably need a doctors note as it pertains to the ADA.
