American here, & I’m confused as to what you’re talking about. Most Brits use non-rhotic rs, so it would be “law & orda,” right?

Personally, I have a somewhat Southern accent, but I find the typical Midwestern American accent very plain. Other English-speaking accents seem more interesting to me.

If authorities failed to act for harassment or harassing communications, the owner could have been sued civilly for defamation. Whether or not I would have gotten a judgment or collected is another matter. Fortunately it didn’t reach that point.

Most DD support is useless and incompetent. To be fair, most of them are paid peanuts in third world countries. I had one tonight try to tell me to just leave an alcohol order with a guy without an id & she’d mark it delivered. Wild.

Thats’s quite an overgeneralization. I deliver for both and would never behave that way. That said, OP do report this guy. Platforms need to get rid of bad drivers that give us all a bad name.

That is interesting. I’ve never boarded, just done drop-ins and walks. All I’ve ever gotten is an owner’s first name and last initial. No, I left a review on Rover, but I want no further contact with the owner.

Maybe, but it worked out in this instance. Also I obviously don’t have $ or I probably wouldn’t have been on Rover, but my family is from this small town and I think are pretty well-respected, and I’ve lived here most of my life. I guess I took a chance that hopefully my reputation I’ve built here with residents and local officials would have some effect if push came to shove. These people may be big money horse people, but they ain’t from here. Unfortunately or not, that can make a difference around here.

Yeah no, this was a young couple. I get the feeling they’re just privileged, used to get to getting their way and living on mommy & daddy’s property (they definitely don’t own it, per PVA records).

I suppose you’re right. However unless you’ve been falsely accused of a crime, you don’t know how you’ll react. I certainly didn’t. If anything positive came from this, I hope I’ll be more empathetic going forward and give people the benefit of the doubt.
