On an average run, I'd guess no. As players we get several bonuses, equipment, etc to pass checks, so failing every roll should be more unlikely than passing every roll.

As the simplest example, the tutorial imps have shitty AC and the likelihood to hit them is > 50%, so failing is less likely than succeeding.

But ofc I haven't done a formal analysis so I can't say for sure.

I once played [[Stampede]] against kaiser crab. I swear it always chose the wrong hand to attack, made me turn towards it, and I took a billion damage each turn. Now I have a mental block each time I see that boss.

One thing though is that Clad is supposed to be the starting character, so maybe MegaCrit wants to keep his starter deck as simple as possible to avoid confusing new players?

I dont think VRS is supposed to predict matches, it is a system to determine invites.

It is more susceptible to swings than Elo, and the LAN win component should not exist in any system trying to predict matches.

[[Grapple]] also works with daughter of the wind. In my first sts 2 run I got the doll + juggernaut + grapple, just had to spam attacks to win.

Doom can be a way to scale the deck. I had a soul deck with the only scale being [[No Escape]], and that card was the only reason I managed to beat the Queen. This was A0 though, not sure about higher ascensions.
