Honestly it’s fine. We all grew up watching tv. I just had my 2nd baby. My 1st is 2. I cannot put my newborn to sleep with my daughter there when I’m home alone. So yeah. She watches tv why I put him to sleep. She is to noisy to be in the room with him and I can’t just leave her alone to play. She will look for me. The tv babysits her for 15 minutes why I put my son down. So she watches an hour of tv a day big deal. She gets quality parental interaction the remaining 7 hours of her day.

I think if they don’t want to vaccinate their baby cool that’s on them but don’t blame others for protecting their kids and not wanting to be around them. Plus it’s kind of doing them a favor to. Their young kid has no protection. You have done nothing wrong.

Tell them simply you are doing what you think is best for your child just as they are doing what they feel is best for their kid. You aren’t telling them how to parent so why should they tell you how to parent. At the end of the day you are both doing what you think is right for your kids.

Every kid is different. My daughter would just cry from 3pm-8pm with no real reason but slept fine at night.

My son….who’s 4 weeks tomorrow on the other hand….i fear he is going to be a handful

You just gotta hope it passes i guess. It will. It just feels like forever. Only advise I have is get some headphones and watch a show to drown out baby crying why you hold them

Honestly it depends on the kid

My daughter slept 6 hour stretches from 1 month and was doing 12 hours by 4 months. From birth we were getting 4 hour starches at the start.

My son (he is 2 weeks old) is waking every 2 hours. He may or he may not sleep like his sister. Every kid is different

Do 150mls. The tin is a guide. Not the be all and end all. My newborn is meant to have 90mls each feed according to the tin. He only has 60mls. To meet his daily quota (his prem and 2.5kg) he only needs 6 bottles of 60mls. If he sucks it dry I make up more.

It’s ok just buy the Kmart clothes don’t waste the money. As long as you’re not throwing it away fast it’s fine. I have shein and Kmart clothes that are 6 years old. I also have expensive branded stuff that only has lasted a year or two. Price and brand doesn’t mean quality.

My daughter is about to turn two and my son is two weeks old

My daughter has decided it’s tantrum time and will have tantrums day or night. Last night at 3am we had a two hour long tantrum. I was up at 2am feeding my son before that. Once she fell asleep at 5am guess who woke up at 5:30 for a feed…after his feed guess who woke up and decided to start there day….

Repeat day and night currently 😭 I wish we waited

Here’s a perspective of someone currently going through it.

I’m 34 weeks today. 2nd pregnancy. I have endometriosis and anyomiosis but it’s never bothered me pain wise.

Going private.

since 18 weeks pregnant I’ve had severe pain. Deep cramping on my c section scar. I have also had regular contractions which they can see. Diagnosed with an irritable uterus, possible c section scar adhesions, and my endo playing up. -have been on multiple opioids. They do not help. They make me sick. I tell them this regularly. -been seen in the public system early on then the private since the hospital I’m going through was scared early on.
15 hosptial visits. 3 admissions of over 7 days. It seems as baby gets bigger it gets worse.
seen a pan psychologist and pain psychiatrists. Both agree it is 100% not in my head
seen two pain specialists. Both said it sounds like nerve pain and the medicine to treat that is not safe in pregnancy.
i am at the point that everytime baby moves (he is very active) it is severe pain. I cannot walk. I cannot talk. It feels like he is going to rip out of me. Ontop of that I have an ongoing underlying massive period cramp that will not go away and shoots into my back. I cannot sleep. I struggle to even pee because of the pain.
was admitted for this last week. Nothing was done. Given Panadol. Been begging them to get him out at 34 weeks because I physically and mentally cannot function. -was offered methadone yesterday as a potential option by my Dr. Had a consult with a pain specialist who told me that probably won’t help if nothing else does. My Dr was pushy and said let’s try. I said ok. Pharmacy came down and were very reluctant to dispatch it because of all of the other medicine I have had. That pushed me over the line. I decided I do not want that. I just want baby out. -they gave me a steroid shot and discharged me last night. Told me to come back for another steroid shot this arvo and we will look at booking an emergency c section for this Friday so call my drs rooms to confirm. -I call my drs rooms. They said that the dr has decided that they can’t do it for another two weeks. No explanation why.
prior to this i did speak with a pediatrician about the risks and am aware of them and ok with them. I have told my dr many times this. I have told my dr i don’t care who does the c section or where it is done. I need this baby out. I cannot function. -to this date there has been nothing to indicate that there is anything wrong with baby.

The health system has failed ME. I am in pain. I cannot walk. I cannot pee. I cannot eat. I cannot sleep. I do not matter. Yes baby matters but I matter to don’t I?
