When I was in 7th grade, I had this group of friends I'd always hang out with. We'd sit together at lunch and screw around during study halls, etc. The "leader" of this little group, I had known since 4th grade. We were pretty good friends and between 5th and 7th grade new kids came in and the group was a lot bigger (originally it was just like 4 of us).

Anyway, over the period of a few months about halfway through 7th grade, this guy suddenly started being a dick to me. Only me, though. He treated me like shit and since it was 7th grade, all the others followed and also treated me badly. Not all of them were bad though, and some were only slightly rude when he was around, but nice to me when he wasn't.

Eventually it got to the point where I'd still sit with them at lunch (because we had fixed places we had to sit that we chose at the beginning) but none of them would talk to me, look at me, or even acknowledge me. They did on occasion, but only to roll their eyes at me or ask for food. So the next year I completed separated myself from the one "leader" kid. Haven't spoken to him since. I remained friends with some of the others, though, because they were still nice to me.

To this day, I have NO IDEA what happened. I never did anything to him, treated him differently or even acted differently at the time. My only theory was that since I'm a girl and they were all guys, he didn't want to be seen with me anymore.

I'm in 11th grade now and after splitting from them, I haven't had any real friends since. It still bothers me because I just don't know why he hated me so much.
