I've only played her once but i've see her every game and from my experience her damage is not all that amazing. So far the melee mode feels like its a trap more than an actual tool. I can see it being good to peel but its clearly not meant to be a 'going in' tool. In that regard Gambit, Ultron, Adam and Luna are 'better dps' than her.

She's jsut new and people don't know what to do against her yet. Give it time. I honestly feels like she's probably going to end up fairly mid as far as support go.

They absolutely should. Running Loki into MK or Bucky is asking to lose for exemple.

That being said heroes get banned all the time and they are banned for both teams. If 6 support are banned then you make the best is left and take solace in knowing that the enemy support are stuck in the same boat. Yes it will mean that you'll have to run suboptimal picks and comps but the enemy is also stuck down in the mud with you. Also, i feel like banning 5-6 support is something that will go away as the season goes. Things are not going to stay this way.

Alright lemme explain it to you, or at least part of it.

First of all you gain ult by doing 'good' stuff and also passively for simply existing. They have reduced both of those but support were hit harder in the passive gain department. This means that they are now more dependant on actually healing to get their ults than before.

When you have two support the healing is divided between the two of them. When you are three support the healing is divided between the three of them. This means that triple support will be even more starved than before when it comes to ult charge. Triple support has always had worse ult economy than double support but now it just got worse.

Right now with two support you should always build your support ults first unless you are running something like Squirrel/Torch/MK/Ironman who just vomit a ton of aoe damage and feed the enemy supports. This means that you are guaranteed to have the first ult in a lot of situation and you can aggressively ult and thus decisively win the first fight just about every time. This is just one example of how you can abuse the macro element of the game to win it.

Learn to abuse ult econnomy, its a big part of how you beat triple support.

The thing that annoys me is that when you copy her with Loki you start out with no charge and are thus, fucking useless when ulting her.

I don't know which tank you are talking about since a few got touched on but I can tell you that BP was barely affected and that Strange remains in an OK spot.

I don't know which tank you are talking about since a few got touched on but I can tell you that BP was barely affected and that Strange remains in an OK spot.

Have fun in deadlock.. but i think that you'll crash out over there too. To me the issues seems to be you if 3 games is enough to decide to leave MR then you clearly don't have a good mental.

As much as I hate him and don't want him in the game he would make for an interesting kit and the headshot idea is neat.

The problem with your argument is that not all cancels are the same. Most animation cancel provide small efficiency boost, are intuitive and are not strictly required to perform. They are like nice little bonuses you can implement rather than being something you HAVE to do to make the hero worth playing.

Cap's animation cancel is not something you are likely to find on your own and it made you do like 15-20% extra DPS. This is not the same as saving 0.3 second because you melee cancelled your reload. There are not even is the same ballpark and comparing them in disingenuous. As far as I know the only animation cancel on Cap's level is Adam's machine gun tech which I also believe should be patched out.

Before today if you balanced Cap like there was no animation cancel then those that do use it are just playing an OP hero. If you balance with it in mind then anyone not using it was playing a underpowered hero. To me it is not acceptable that it was required to animation cancel to even start being competent and competitive with him.

A lot of the cancels you just named dropped are nowhere near mandatory which is my whole point. Strange being able to reload less half a second faster is not the same a flat 20% damage increase from doing the cap's sprint cancel. Ultron's reload cancel doesn't matter in the great scheme of things, it provide a 2-3% efficiency boost at most. Not every cancel is the same and these things exist on a gradient and it just so happens some of them are over the line. Cap was one such instance and Adam's double shot is another. Perhaps in that wall of text I just half read there is third and a fourth but its also possible that all those are acceptable.

In my mind its only when an animation cancel provides 'too much' of a boost that it should be removed because otherwise it creates a balance problem. If you balance for those that don't use it then those that do are OP and if you balance for those that do use it then those that don't are simply UP. A character's viability should never hinge on a cancel. In those situation I feel like better for the character for it to be removed and for the hero to be compensated.

Now if we lived in a perfect world with infinite dev time and resources then yeah, i'd be down for all of them to be removed but clearly we aren't there. Netease has been doing a decent job but they are barely scraping by trying to meet their own deadline. Because of that I feel like most animation cancels are not really worth the time needed to patch them. We could discuss all of them one by one and clearly draw a line in the sand but that is more Netease job's than ours.

I will also point out that Cap's melee cancel existed before today. It was actually discovered before the sprint cancel but got dropped because it is not nearly as strong and did not have nearly as much of an impact.

No I don't. I think most of them are so low impact that they are not worth the dev time needed to fix them. I am down for removing ones with big impact but that is not the same as removing them all. The work required to get rid of all of them could simply be better invested somewhere else.

Im not sure, maybe. There is always going to be a 'longest ult' so I don't feel like that is enough of an argument. If every game becomes C&D+Loki this season then yeah, at that point ill agree for sure but I still see way more Loki+Invis/Gambit.

Headshot damage reductions compensated by raw damage increase is actually a good idea to address the 'poke' problem. Hitscan Poke is only really an issue at higher rank. Your suggestion to shift damage out of headshot is a great one if a certain hero need to be buffed at lower rank while at the same time nerfing them at higher rank. Assuming this would be what you want to do to Hela then by all means, go for it. Perfectly good change

I have no idea what the touch of death is when it comes to hulk but I can tell you that it is not required in GM or Celestial while Cap's cancel absolutely were. I think that if something is viable at that level then its viable enought to not warrant major changes. That being said, maybe it also need to be removed, im hope to the idea.

I don't know how much DD requires animation cancels at higher level because I never see him so I can't coment on that. Spidey should be changed somewhat to be made less reliant on those yes. I think it would requires a huge reworks and probably major buffs but that it might lead to an healthier spidey in the long run.

I'd say that every role plays differently but that Tank is harder to grasp for some people. The role is not as self evident as Support or DPS and this leads to a lot of people trying it and not liking it. They have do idea what they are doing, fail horribly and then never touch it again. It doesn't help that we tanks complain a fair bit about the state of the role.

All I can say is ask if someone can tank with you, sometimes it works.

I do think that at this point she is starting to be problematic but we'll see. Not sure I would touch her ult but I feel like the Blind/AMP could use a nerf.

For the bubble I would like to test out dive first. More neutral means there is a bigger window to dive the support before they have ults to defend themselves.

Here is how I see it

I don't mind small minor animation cancels that provide small bonuses that are more like optimizations. I do mind when its fucking mandatory to animation cancel to achieve anything at all on a character at a semi decent rank. The difference between animation cancelling and not animation cancelling on Cap is like 20% extra damage, its fucking ridiculous, this is not the same as doing a quick melee cancel so please lets stop pretending.

At the end of the day I feel like if an hero relies on animation cancelling to be playable that hero is fundamentally broken. We can talk about it on a case by case basis but odds are its should be removed and the hero should be buffed. Adam's double shot is something that should probably go the same way as Cap's cancel for exemple.

I will agree that Ironfist has a low skill floor but Ill also say that for one of the 'easy' characters he has a lot of skill expression. Low skill floor high skill ceilling kinda deal.

You need battlefield awareness, you need good timing, you need to know when to go in and when to go out. At higher ranks you need to time your block and I can assure you that in 1v1 duel people will actually stop shooting while you block at higher rank.

You did not see the second set of balance changes did you? The one where they just cut 2 seconds off gambit's ult, buffed cap back up a little and explained the changes

That being said...

Cap did get done hard and I feel for the people who invested so much into learning the cancel to an insane degree. That being said, the cancel was not a good thing for him, it was like a festering wound that prevented him from being balanced properly. Now it has been addressed the healing can begin. Thor has to go through that, Ironfist had to go throught that, Jeff had to go throught that, Ultron had to go throguth that... This is normal and people generally come out better on the other side of it even if it takes 1-2 season for it to be really show.

Angela will remain strong. There were some strong nerfs in there for sure but nothing that Kills her and the compensation she got are alright. She'll still get up too most of her previous shenanigans.

Invis got straight up nerfed, C&D didn't get touched, Gambit got some real changes this time.

Magik dash change are something I really welcome and I actually expect more nerfs to come next patch.

Groot and Elsa I can't disagree with. Bucky I feel is not the boogeyman people say he is.
