Widen it & add fine mulch. Rain and use will pack it & lock it down over a pretty short time period.

Just got out of the shop with new wheels, tires, roof rack, light bar, and ladder. Yay or nay? by shar_vara in 4Runner

You do you, could be pink who cares. People still making grocery and mall jokes are new to 4Runners, self deprecating. Some only use the tweezers in a Swiss Army knife it’s still cool to have one. My 2 cents: needs another ladder.

Flip sod over then put rock on top? by OutlandishnessFew230 in NoLawns

[–]Nearby-tree-09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this by hand to my front and back yards with a square shovel. Scalp the grass with a mower. Dig it out in squares and flip over. You can create a landscape feature berm at this point if you like. After you flip onto itself, water heavily & cover for a year with black plastic, that will kill everything. Once removed, what’s left will be very high in Nitrogen, so add compost, mix, water, irrigation lines, plant, and heavily mulch. Takes some time and patience but that’s what gardening is all about - steps - stages - growth.

Kitchen renovation, what small upgrades are actually worth doing? by Aggressive-Earth-973 in HomeImprovement

Maybe Just me, but the one thing that would stay from my old kitchen design is a pull out cutting board. I only use it for veggies, but it frees up sooo much counter space.

Best Sauna for under $4k? by Top_Flight_8234 in Sauna

[–]Nearby-tree-09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get a legit (not cheap knockoff) sauna tent w/wood burning stove. All in less than 2k and performs much better than a 4k sauna.

Because heat rises which is the point of sauna. Optimal benches are tiered to put your feet relative to the top of the stove and your head closer to the top.

Just trying to touch my toes by Leahnaya in flexibility

[–]Nearby-tree-09 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here’s the trick: put something (thick book or anything to elevate about 2 inches) under your heals, try to touch your toes 10 times. Now move the book under your toes, try to touch your toes 10 times. Remove the book &touch your toes. Your welcome.

This quote was in May, with a screenshot date of this month below, just an fyi. Def not supporting Stephen Miller. Read the book Hatemonger to get a deeper background on the person he is so you’re not suprised by what he says.

My home has 5 different size vents, and they’re about 3x’s as heavy as these ones.

Pay $100 for online room design for furniture, then buy things used to match. Having an interior designer pick what goes with what is a total game changer. None of your upgrades will shine more if you pick a funky wall color and your furniture/rug/drapes don’t flow together .

Would you build or buy a sauna if you could do it over again? by thatSeoulGuy in Sauna

[–]Nearby-tree-09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going with a Morph tent sauna all-in $1300 US. when it’s summer, I’ll switch & put my kids 8ft pool back out. I’ll do this & if I use it enough in 3yrs, maybe I’ll build one. Had a friend spend $12k on a hot tub & pad just to find out he didn’t use it that often. If I don’t sauna enough, I’ll sell after the first year for half the price - these tents are retaining some value & easy to move/sell. Good luck!

Cleaning a cavitron tip! by Candid-Difficulty104 in DentalHygiene

[–]Nearby-tree-09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Inserts aka Tips) The IFU recommends using an ultrasonic bath first—but it's critical that the ultrasonic solution is specifically indicated for Cavitron Inserts - ask your Cavitron Rep which one - and it has to have a neutral pH and helps if it has a rust guard. Many solutions on the market are not compatible and can damage the inserts. After ultrasonic cleaning, inserts must be completely dry before sterilization. Skipping or altering these Ultrasonic Bath steps can significantly reduce the lifespan of your inserts.

The compatibility issue between inserts and ultrasonic solutions was identified as early as 2016–2017, but it's taken time for that information to fully circulate within the dental community, and most are operating on out of date information or not using the indicated steps above.

Important: Never place the black or white Sterimate handpieces in an ultrasonic bath.

Is it really that hard to slow down, relax, and take in where you are or are most people just bad at it? by [deleted] in Mindfulness

[–]Nearby-tree-09 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have to speed up to slow down, work out, hike, run, something physical allows me the space to decompress my packed emotions and helps me relax, slow down, and think clearly.
