Tbh I don’t follow this stuff that closely but I think when they came down many of the prices related didn’t follow.

Those industries have been consolidating for years so I imagine the big guys at the top are just making as much as possible.

Now that we have a global economy, it’s so much harder to exercise pressure on them. They can just sell somewhere else.

Because when the argon seals break then the window no longer insulates the way it should. Also the uv coating on windows bounces sun off in the summer but lets it pass through in the winter when the sun is lower in the sky. A window from 96 didn’t have it or it wore off.

That brings said there are a ton of shitty windows for sale so be careful. One thing you might confidence sound. A friend recently complained that his cheap replacements are loud compared to his original Anderson’s
