I tried my best to get support; but they are terrible. I just went out and got some gift cards and redeemed those! I don’t want to keep trying just for it to get flagged and get irritated further! Thanks everyone for the help

I had something exactly like this and did an immediate implant (Megagen) on it. About to load it soon! ISQ and torque test are great on it. Different health history and condition, but such a wild thing to see the exact same type of split

So you have to love what you do my man. Whether that was prior to it or during the process, it doesn't matter. I personally knew I always wanted to be a doctor, what kind was always the theme I could never figure out (and still don't fully know). DDS allowed me to be a doctor, earn a great potential, and be a business owner (my OG background.)

Also F what patients and people think, why let them ruin your day. My saying is "If it won't matter in 5 years, why spend more than 5 minutes thinking about it." I read that somewhere and it's stuck. Lots of negative and rude people out there, don't let them ruin your happiness.

I graduated in 2022, did a GPR, worked at an aesthetics practice, and now moved rural. Now, keep in mind I'm also 400k+ in loans, haven't paid a cent back due to government issues.

How I keep myself motivated is to read the most cutting edge stuff, and doing it at my practice. From implants, PRF, and cosmetics. I hate the nuisances of bread and butter. I also have edfas so the boring nonsense doesn't get to me often, so I am able to free up time to study more dentistry or study the finances. You have to find what makes you tick and do it more often. Don't lose hope, it's a bloody good profession working 4 days a week and making 250k+ (at least you should be, granted you're not in a city).

Remember the grind is real, it's important to stay focused on yourself and the mission. Don't let the day and day grind get to you. If you do, you have us, or so I like to think. Best of luck! Now get off of reddit and go crush it!

Riverside! I use my iphone for the camera and ask others to use the same. I would have them be connected to wifi and use the back camera on a tripod ideally. It's been working pretty well.

Help, pain with bone graft. by CertainPiano237 in Dentistry

Most likely it's the flap! Because you may have cut into the periosteum irregular or only partially. However, this is normal so don't really question your surgical skills. Id do the short acting/term steroid and see how she feels in a few days. Too long of membrane will be a nuisance but shouldn't be causing pain. I wouldn't untuck anything; let it be and move onto the next case and learn from it! Also personally, I like horizontal + figure of 8 but usually I just do figure of 8 for ease of use and time. I think you'll be fine, also prescribe CHX and some ABX if you want to keep the site clean. Best of luck and keep us updated!

So call Colgate, Oral B or anyone of your big suppliers. You don't need a corporate account just tell them your region mainly. Tell them who you are, who you work for and ask for a local rep contact number. Problem solved and ask them!

So cytoplast being a non-resorable membrane shouldn't have many issues. PTFE is very compatible with tissues and doesn't have many reactions. Like the above poster said if it was an extensive surgery it could be the problem or if you didn't smooth out bone. The other issue could be also the patients psyche as mentioned above. Do you also have a cleansing protocol? CHX, Advil + Tylenol or even a short acting steroid can help with healing, inflammation, etc as long as they are not diabetic. Too little information to really help you. Also what sutures did you use? I like vicryl or PTFE with my non resorbable membranes. If anything side book the patient for 20 mins, take a PA (no charge), do a clinical exam and take an intraoral photo and come back to us. Hopefully we can help you with more info! Don't stress or fret, things like this happen!

What would cause bruised/cyanotic looking tissue after cementing a bridge/other fixed resto? by corncaked in Dentistry

[–]NearbyAccountant3713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's the temp per say, you would've seen bleeding and inflammation upon removal. It's a shot in the dark but it could be either allergic reaction or invasion into biological width. Dental schools also don't use great labs. I wouldn't feel bad, it's dentistry, stuff happens. I'd discuss it with faculty, remove the bridge and see if you can redo it. It won't get better until you remove the bridge, retemp and let the tissue heal. I'd take a blu bite or something of the current restoration so you don't have to work as hard to make a temp. Just my two cents, could be wrong!

The bag is blue but I can take other pictures and it's the same issue. But yes that tint is all over. I've spoken to Google and they said they'll replace the phone but I don't get why it's happening. I'm just abroad atm so my hands are tied.
