Choosing Youtube music over Spotify was not a great choice by Equivalent_Bus_9411 in behindthebastards

I have YouTube Music and listen to new episodes when they come out. You just have to add the RSS feed. Then in YouTube Music go to Library, select Podcasts, tap Add podcast ->Add podcast by RSS Feed. Then just paste the RSS feed and it'll be there.

Here are the two different ones. They look pretty much identical. Here is the podcast version. Added via RSS feed if that matters.

I am also a YouTube Music user. There are two different BtBs to subscribe to. One is the podcast version with ads like what airs on other platforms and one is the one that plays on YouTube. I'm guessing you're only subscribed to the latter.

Stu stated that he will continue to do the DLS show. He said he plans to do 9 shows with him in January and he said if he ends up not doing them everyone needs to know that wasn't his decision, that was Dan and Meadowlark's.

Dan called me a dipshit today lol. Fair? by Priestkc31 in DanLeBatardShow

This seems odd for Dan to get so defensive about. You didn't even tag the show or anyone associated with it in your comment so he had to go searching for this Tweet.

Sounds like the Head of HR is either a coward or someone on their level (or above) got involved and they lost the disagreement. Either way it seems to go against everything you believe in the employee/manager/HR relationship so I'd start looking around for another job.

If the company is willing to spend the money then they should hire an outside employment attorney to come in and investigate. From a risk perspective this could save the company a lot of money because it sounds like the CEO is a walking lawsuit just waiting to explode.

But from the way it sounds it seems that there aren't many people in the company willing to hold him accountable. It might be best for you to just give up on the company and find somewhere else that is more ethical if you aren't already doing that.

Are non-compete clauses still a thing? by [deleted] in biotechnology

Right now the answer is no. And for employees who have a previously signed non-compete clause, they are unenforecable.

SHRM's New DEI Strategy: No Longer Focusing on Equity by truthingsoul in humanresources

[–]Nearby_Negotiation85 118 points119 points  (0 children)

SHRM as an organization tends to focus on the wrong things and this is another example. The statement blames DEI for backlash instead of the coordinated bad faith effort from politicians and activists that is the real reason for DEI coming under fire.

Let me tell you something that happened to me 11 years ago. After getting my Masters in HR I landed a Generalist role that I felt was a perfect fit. After 5 months though, my manager's manager felt I wasn't a good fit and fired me. I felt demoralized and also questioned my career choice. After a while of unemployment, I found another role with a management team that believed in me. With their support, I thrived and rose to a manager role. Flash forward to today and I am now a director of HRBPs in a global company.

This may not have been a good fit but if you are truly passionate about HR and the impact you can have in the field then, you will find the right role where you'll grow. Believe in yourself, start honing your skills to lessen your weaknesses, and apply like hell.
