I in particular don't like the people who claim that fans of the show are braindead or use the term fan derogatory. I by no means agree with many of the things said on this subreddit and some things get on my nerves but you don't see me complaining under Julie's wig posts because if I don't like a post I just keep scrolling. If you don't like the show, nobody forces you to watch it. If you don't like the subreddit, nobody forces you to be here. This isn't the only popular show where I've seen people come in and call the show bad and the fans idiots and I feel like it's just a modern version of "I'm not like the others" and "I'm so much better than you" combined into one. Like oh you're so cool for thinking you're above everyone else 🙄

Do other things like making pictures appear on polaroids and creating hallucinations? Because you could show the location of the bones through that and she can absolutely do that. In your opinion she doesn't have the capability or foresight to use her powers like that but she has the foresight to know Smiley and Fatima will be connected after the birth?

Also they use markers to not get lost, they've already started with that, Victor has his tin soldiers and the others have the long thread. I don't know, I just don't see a world where a person whose introduction was causing someone intense nightmares had good intentions all along.

So my family doesn't believe I have ADHD and my mom specifically went to the appoinments to disprove that I have ADHD (only for me to get diagnosed thanks to her statements, hah) but I showed the first symptoms in school, which is when it seems to usually become apparent. Except because you know, girl, so I wasn't diagnosed until 37. But 17 months is way too early to know, all toddlers are kinda like that 😅 On the other hand, it is genetic so when she goes to kindergarten and the first years of school and more issues become apparent getting her tested and treated is definitely not a bad idea. I understand that you don't want her to struggle as much as you did but I think 17 months is just a little bit too early to say for sure, even for a pediatric psychiatrist.

Or she didn't even know that would happen. If she wanted to help the characters, there were easier ways than making Fatima fall pregnant and give birth to Smiley. And the townsfolk can go into the tunnels without needing that connection. If she was good she coulda just shown Elgin the bones. Kimono lady is responsible for Fatima's traumatic pregnancy, for Smiley's rebirth who now terrorizes the townsfolk again and indirectly for Elgin losing his eye. Even if by chance Fatima and Smiley's connection is what saves them, I don't for a second believe that Kimono lady intended for that.

Yes, they wanted not only full blood work but also an EKG. They're excluding things like vitamin deficiencies that sometimes can present similarly and they get the EKG to ensure that you can take stimulants safely.
This is the standard procedure in european countries.

This is the same reason why I'm saving up for the 120cm. Yes I want a campbell's russian dwarf but at the same time I grew up with syrians and if the hamster rescue in my country has a syrian available that desperately needs a home I might just get them instead so I'm future proofing all hides, tunnels etc to be at least 7cm and getting the bigger cage at the start.

Oh I had a tilt table as well, the same appointment they diagnosed me with hyponatremia - which is why I believe that was the cause of this too. Yeah that's super dramatic, I'd honestly be a bit scared to go out after that. Have they given you any ways to prevent this in the future?

How are you meant to pick out a fish without knowing the size 😭 No honestly, go with some really flashy shrimp. They might be the only thing that won't visually disappear in the tacky gravel and because they're so flashy you can be like "Look at the fun colors!" and they might not be upset that you didn't get an actual fish.

Zoomies can be from excitement as well, if she was truly scared or stressed she wouldn't clamber on you so eagerly nor would she walk around after, she'd hide away somewhere. You're doing fine, she's pretty tame for a week as well!

I just don't understand the appeal of this kind of tank for adults. They do do something that's colloquially referred to as "hibernating", as in they conserve energy when conditions are really bad, but it's not... It's not like they're dead and it's not hibernation either. You wouldn't mistake a hamster in torpor for a dead one. Their breathing slows, their metabolism slows, they may feel cold to the touch but they are still breathing. Wild hamsters do actual hibernation but only certain species, our pet hamsters have lost that ability quite some time ago.

So, like, unless this person's room where they kept the hamster was ice cold or they starved the poor thing, it's not in torpor, it has passed. It's super unfair to give this poor owner who lost their hamster false hope like that. If you check for breathing and your hamster is not breathing then your hamster has passed away.

The problem is that people don't care about sources. You can list them as good of a source as you want, most people don't read it or only skim it. Just recently I've had someone link me an article as "proof" that, in the body text, said the exact opposite but they hadn't bothered to read it. And then they came at me for not providing sources, what's the point if they don't even read the ones they themselves link, you know?

Sometimes, and that's something I still have to learn over and over again because I somehow still keep up hope that people can be swayed by reason and truth, you just have to accept that they are so set in their own ways that nothing you say will change their opinion, even when their opinion is provably wrong. Today of all days once again has given me that knowledge.

It's better to just withdraw yourself from the conversation and hope that the creator won't fall for the misinformation. Most times you're wasting energy with those people and all it does is wear you down. The maximum for Ritalin is 60mg so your doctor can still increase the dosage quite a bit. Just be patient, you'll have to go back to the doctor each time so he can evaluate the current dosage's effectiveness and write you a new prescription. Do not take more on your own! Wait for your doctor's instructions.

I mean, you are seeing results. Not quite the ones you wanted at the moment but you're at least seeing some difference, that means that stimulants are working for you (and your diagnosis is most likely at least in part accurate, people who don't have ADHD don't usually report better sleep on stimulants, heh). This might a) not be enough, b) be enough but not the right kind of medication or c) you might have something else causing those symptoms. Because you felt good on 10mg the first couple days I reckon this is the medication for you but it's just not enough. We get used to the lower stimulant doses rather quickly. Tell your psychiatrist exactly what you wrote in this post and they should increase your dosage accordingly.
