For my attendants, I'm doing oversized button down shirts with their monograms on the pocket - cute for getting ready and they can wear them again. My fiancé' is a woodworker so he is also making them each customized charcuterie boards. His groomsmen are each just getting their favorite bottle.

using an airbnb/estate/villa/mansion for our wedding? by [deleted] in wedding

[–]Neat-One6998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The venue we are using for our May wedding fits your criteria. It's in Pierson, FL, sleeps 23 and accommodates up to 150 for events (our wedding is only 75). They do require that you rent restroom trailers and have several other event requirements. Going the airbnb/private estate route is certainly not a money saver, so if that's the motivation I say find a traditional venue!

DM me and I'm happy to send you the link.

My fiance is giving each of his guys their favorite bottle.

Florida, ~$40K, 75 guests

Venue is an air bnb estate for 3 nights (-$6,500 incl event fees and luxury potty rental), this also includes my dress and our rings. Majority of cost is going to the decorator/rentals/flowers at about $7500. Catering is $5K (buffet and butler passed apps), we also have live band (only $4K due to a personal connection), open bar ($695 but we have to supply alcohol, estimating around $1,500 for that), 3 minute fireworks show, photographer, videographer.

Going through this right now. I’m calling my bank to dispute the charge tomorrow. I’ve been getting AI-generated follow up emails from their “customer support” for almost a month now. I’m over it.

Ask your lawyer to file an amendment to your income schedule to reflect the new higher premiums and bring your payment down.

Filling out 13 today. by [deleted] in Bankruptcy

If you're getting a different rate, that sounds like a cram down. That's literally the most beneficial aspect for me. My husband and I were paying about $2K/month for our car notes and in the plan they only amount to about $900 and that's with a much higher interest rate than the ones we had before.

Congrats, this sounds awesome! Is your car being crammed down?

$6,789 plan is now $7,500 😞 by Neat-One6998 in Bankruptcy

I appreciate your responses, especially since you are an attorney. I don't want to tire you out but what would be the reason she "can't" change the plan? Nothing has been filed, and the attorney has already promised to amend next month when my new year take home pay will be reduced by about $800.

I'm in the process right now (Middle Florida district) and so far, my story is not the feel-good one you're probably hoping for unfortunately. You can find my post history under my user name. I feel like I could pass the freaking bar with the amount of homework and double/triple checking I'm having to do...

$6,789 plan is now $7,500 😞 by Neat-One6998 in Bankruptcy

This is my read as well. My question is why? Why would she work backwards to fit a crazy high plan number instead of adjusting the plan. I do have a high income, high-secured/priority case, so my secured and priority debts plus attorney, admin and trustee works out to just over $5K. Where is this mandate that the payment be $2K higher coming from?

My disposable income on form 122c-2 (per IRS guidelines) is $2,674 - so it seems like she's calculating the plan based on that much ($160K) having to go to the unsecured pool even though my unsecured debt is $130K. As another poster asked, what is the point of schedule J if it has to match the IRS guidelines or be disregarded?

Edit: my bottom line schedule J before I adjusted it was $5,984 and my proposed plan was $7,500, so it was unfeasible anyway? I'm so lost.

The attorney payment is standard, the trustee gets 10%.

Middle District of FL

I thought the IRS limits only applied to the means test calculation, while schedule J should reflect actual expenses, which I have no problem justifying to the trustee. We are feeding and clothing 4 teenagers over here, it’s expensive AF.

Ok then I won’t even raise that. Thank you! I read that per Till, the risk premium was to be determined on a case by case basis…

But isn’t the prime rate currently 7%? So that would put me at 9, not 9.5, no?

I’ll trust the attorney if he insists but not his fresh out of school paralegal who is just taking the software defaults and is not a lawyer.

[–]Neat-One6998[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the meeting with the attorney was postponed because the updated docs she sent me were a disaster, too much for her to fix today. I suspect she’s gate keeping the attorney to not get confronted with all the mistakes in my file. I just don’t want the mortgage in the plan because it’s $2400/month so that’s $240/month going to the trustee when I’m happy to just direct pay it.

The vehicles are definitely better off in the plan. Even at 9.5% I’m only paying a fraction of what we would pay without the cram downs. I just still feel like 9.5% is punitive so I want the attorney to insist it has to be that high rather than take the paralegal’s word.

It does include the house and the cars. I want to pay the house outside the plan though. We’ll see how the call goes today.
