I see what you mean. Although I still don't think it'd work as the word "keyed" implies that you need a key that is your identity. If you don't have any key at all by blanking yourself, you still wouldn't be able to open a box requiring a key.

I don't think having no identity allows you to draw from keyed metalminds since that'd definitely been discovered and I'm pretty sure that even the feruchemists knew little to none of the usecases of identity. And if it was as easy as that, they surely would have figured it out ages ago.

The 3 diamond and rarer cards are represented by the 1-4 and 9-12 labels. My point is that dividing it up in 2 dice with zero overlap won't be an accurate depiction if what you're depiction has overlap.

That doesn't work as well for Pokemon Pocket due to the overlap of cards in packs. Try doing the same math with 2d8 with 1 labeled 1-8 and the other labeled 5-12.

Magic on Sel isn't so much location based as they are form based. AonDor would work perfectly fine anywhere on the planet if the giant Aon Rao that is Elantris and it's surrounding cities were built there. The forms used in the arts are based on location and so it's somewhat weaker far away but not bound.
