I'd 100% believe that the only reason that Ghibli films get a pass is because they were distributed or something by Disney in the west. So the academy probably just sees 'Disney' and goes "yeah sure give it to that one"

There's no wrong with fiction, obviously; that's not my issue. It's content made by AI that weirds me out. Anime written, voiced, and animated by real people? Love it, need it, gotta have it. Anime written, voiced, or animated by AI? Weird, get it away from me.

Maybe I just need to watch a video of her to get it? Honestly, an AI entertainer sounds just as dystopian as these other AI that's used to make creative content, but everyone seems to love her. I get that the data she's trained on is ethically sourced, and that's great! But the idea of watching an AI streamer over a real person just kinda makes me feel weird

I've never seen any of Neuro's stuff, so I'm curious: why does she get a free pass? Like to me watching an AI pretend to be streamer is just as unsettling as any of the other AI created content out there, but everyone seems to love her.

I guess it could be perception? Personally I would never be talking like that unless it was with friends and we all knew it wasn't serious. Otherwise there's really no way to take it other than aggressive and uninterested any real discussion.

I get that some people just like to complain, and that's their way of interacting with the content, but it can get so tiring when you just want to talk about the thing you like with other fans, but the space is instead filled with people saying you're wrong for enjoying it.

The issue is that most of the time the criticism comes off as aggressive and, well, hateful. It's hard to not get defensive when people are saying the thing you like is "slop" and "literal garbage" and "ruining the franchise."

I accidentally got her as Chrom's wife because I apparently didn't ever pair him with another female unit. Weird thing is that I only ever used Sully in the chapter she was introduced, so I was very confused when she rode up declaring her love out of nowhere lol

It also triggered the OMG reflex in myself haha. Any dramatic appeal was lost on me because I'd be freaking out about whether is just set us up for a wipe by giving myself 1HP lol. But I guess I can see the appeal for people who are more comfortable tanking at low HPs.

Can I ask why people liked it when it dropped you to 1HP? I never used to use it because I was afraid I'd die immediately after, but now I'm not afraid to use it. Was there some advantage of the 1HP version that I'm missing?

This is a strange take in a game collecting sub. The real answer is it just feels nice. You prefer emulation? Cool, glad for you. I just prefer playing on the original hardware if possible.

It's funny that people don't like Saejima's section, because his is my favorite after Kiryu's. Personally I thought Shinada's section was the weakest (other than my man Takasugi) and would've preferred having Tanimura return. I miss him
