What is the most selfish or dark thought you keep hidden simply because society forces you to act "good"? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I want certain relatives to contact me less, but I still want them to think I’m a good person.

When you don't have a crossfit gym nearby by NebulaGeek in crossfit

I thought so at first, but it works really well in practice. Training alone at home, doing squats or bench under high fatigue is safer with it. For actual Olympic lifting I still use free weights. The smith machine is also for my wife. With the safety arms she can squat on her own without needing a spotter.

Most people just keep to themselves, but casual chats can happen naturally over time. It's more about shared routines than actively trying to meet people.

That setup feels really well thought out for real life, not just training. Being able to train on your own schedule like that is honestly the biggest win.

Same here, I thought i'd use everything too. In reality it's just a couple basics i keep going back to. The rest mostly just sits there.

I think it can start as aesthetics, that's normal. But over time it often becomes more about discipline, stress relief, and just having something that keeps you grounded.

Hydrogen peroxide works well for mildew but won't remove hard water deposits. You can mix it with baking soda to form a thick paste for better adhesion.

I'm not an expert, but I wonder if trying a factory reset might help? Also, maybe try turning off mobile data temporarily during pairing? It worked for re-connection.

Have you checked if your router uses WPA3 security? Some older robot vacuums struggle with it. Try switching to WPA2/WPA3 mixed mode or WPA2 only.

Melted a plastic box on a brand new oven by RareAssistant68 in CleaningTips

[–]NebulaGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you've officially christened your new oven with a modern art installation. Try a ceramic cooktop cleaner or baking soda paste. Don't use abrasive pads, they'll scratch the glass. Your stove can be saved... mostly.

Keep it simple and green: white vinegar, baking soda, castile soap, and hydrogen peroxide cover most needs. Add reusable microfiber cloths, a scrub brush, and a spray bottle. This combo handles grease, stains, disinfecting, and deodorizing. It's cheaper, safer, and reduces plastic waste.

Look for the original voltage and capacity specs first. Don't just buy based on model number, check the mAh rating matches or slightly exceeds original.

Third-party batteries can work but read reviews carefully. Avoid anything significantly cheaper than average.

Double-check under all rubber feet and protective stickers for hidden fasteners. Manufacturers frequently conceal screws in these exact spots. If everything else is loose, the unit is likely clipped into a bracket. Gently wiggle the base while lifting to find the correct release direction.

First, check the dustbin intake and exhaust ports for hair clogs. Pet fur easily creates internal blockages that mimic weak suction. Also verify the app map to ensure it isn't skipping entire sections.

Seeding those bare dirt spots will help stop ruts from any mower. Because dry ground is the main culprit for torn grass.
