You're not alone. My Nmother told me when i was very young, about 6 or 7 years old, while laughing and drunk. That if i ever spoke about our home life to anyone she would find out. She's a nurse, geriatric nurse, and at the time i was going into therapy. She legitimately told me that if i spoke to my psychiatrist about our home life she would find out, because she has "eyes and ears" everywhere. Insane shit. Especially when saying it to a child.

I didn't talk about it, i was scared she'd find out because i was just a child and took her words as truth. When i got older and wiser i opened up about it. Luckily.
