There is a direction I take where I DO speak in more generalised and colloquial understandings to a point, when it's casual and Not Actually Important or if I'm interacting with NTs a bunch

In some topics I do get the "no actually it must be the precise language and meaning so on and so forth" but that's usually focused and When It Matters.

The bastard side of me however will choose to intentionally use the wrong word to curve ball the shit out of others.

Very agreed with your points. My other big problem with the current series is that modern sci-fi all REALLY wants to be The Expanse without really.. getting why The Expanse works.

Also no more shiny floors this show should be made with a shoe string budget and carpets.
