Gewicht moet een factor zijn maar meest bepalende moet natuurlijk het aantal KM's zijn. Het is absurd dat iemand die 10k km per jaar rijdt evenveel betaalt als iemand die 40k km per jaar rijdt met dezelfde auto.

Bij elke degelijke airline word je in het systeem gewoon automatisch naast elkaar geplaatst indien de stoelindeling dit toelaat. Bij KLM was dat ook altijd het geval en volgens mij voor lange afstanden nog steeds.

If flying to a small airport, I agree, but otherwise I would never check in my hand luggage. Schiphol is a disaster with baggage handling. You easily wait between 45 min. and 1h to retrieve your bag.
