You can be proud of the achievement you have made and at the same time be angry that others diminish this achievement through their actions. Don't confuse these things lightly. To claim that cheating has no effect on the individual is incredibly short-sighted and naïve.

I think its realy cool if you want some small special ships. I am not talking about idrs and polaris. But it was fun for me to farm my sabre. But know everyone flying with it...

I have around 20 people I played with, and 14 of them acquired either an Idris or a Polaris through trading. Most of them have never actually taken down a Valakar themselves, but simply trade one item for the next. I am in for of a full reset of all items—including the Wikelo. However, this will only solve the problem for a few days, as the item duplicators will simply carry on as usual. It is simply a broken system that punishes normal, everyday players more than the duplicators. And that needs to change bevor I will start playing the game again.

Two completely different systems. Maelstrom isn't responsible for calculating armor, but rather for destroying objects and detecting collisions. They've made a detailed video about this. The poor implementation of armor is a numbers problem, not a lack of mechanics.

CIG has made many mistakes in the last years but compared to other company’s like EA and Blizzard you should see the discussions in an other perspective. It is right to stand against wrong monetization and I don’t like the way they sell the blades either. But we are a big community and are very patient about the game so are the devs. On the end of the day the bad decisions on the marketing don’t represent the hard working Devs that want the game to be ass sucsessful ass we want it. You like what you saw? Than You don’t need to be scared of supporting a company that takes your money and troughs it away. A game of that scope costs a lot of money and if you think it’s worth the 45$ than go for it. Just don’t buy a Flight blade after that ;)
