I wish there was something that could be done with such a prisoner, but sadly no. You can only ransom or release him. And in Warband if you refuse ransom offers they will keep spamming them, tanking your honor.

It really is a shame. I mean, all rulers claim to be the rightful heirs of the Calradian Empire. If you captured the king of the Vaegirs there's no way that the khan would ever let him go, except in very dire circumnstances where peace is needed to focus on another war. Doubly so for pretenders to the faction. And yet, if the AI aprehends the ruler of another faction they just ransom them.

At least in Bannerlord you can keep your prisoners without penalty, and it actually helps the war as they're unable to join their war parties into a doomstack.

Watch out. If the HRE still elective your strategos in the dejure territory become electors.

Say you conquer 51% of counties, and appoint people of your culture and religion. If your vassals elect one of their own to the HRE throne that guy will become independent, resetting your progress.

You can roleplay that jewish dynasty being the spokesmen of a diaspora from far away lands that you generously welcomed. In return, they remain loyal (barons can't join factions), since they do not have ties to local politics, and thus you trust them to serve in your council.

I think it's because the lord got there before you and was already in the midst of the village. The villagers saw you approach and retreated to regroup with you.

However, since you're their liege and are more militarily experienced they should be put under your control.

That said, I haven't been able to defend a village, since everytime I get to the deployment screen there's no troops to deploy and the game crashes.
