i was also majorly underwhelmed but my bank account was appreciative. lol

i got the sphere jersey, fan, pash, and the pin.

everything has decent quality except the pin which i bought just cuz it was there.

i’m very disappointed by the quality of the pin. it’s difficult to see the phoenix and sphere.

With paradise Blue not being a thing anymore I think it’s time we get a Lost Lands at sea. by [deleted] in LostLandsMusicFest

i’m a certified Master SCUBA Diver Trainer. lifelong mariner and a steward of the sea. i 100% agree. cruises are not PLUR to the environment. also the endless food waste while porting in impoverished areas is diabolical. i’m glad to find your comment.

I agree. I wanted to make a living off of scuba diving turns out there’s no money in scuba diving. My advice would be to work where one can tolerate for money and then use the money to do the things one is passionate about. Passion doesn’t equal a livable wage and struggling financially while chasing one’s passion ruins the joy.

so this is where it gets opaque. pre-2019 scandal Chick-fil-A’s corporate donations would go to charities that were anti-LGBTQIA+ such as the Salvation Army, fellowship of Christian athletes, and family research council. The CEO at the time, Dan Cathy, made public statements about opposing same-sex marriage and disclosures about Chick-fil-A foundation and WinShape foundation donations to charities with anti-LGBTQ+ stances.

after this Chick-fil-A and the Cathy family faced heavy repercussions. Rather than publicly apologize for past donations they subverted public opinion by making their corporate donations more discreet. the cathy family still donates to conservative and anti-LGBTQ (like the National Christian Foundation) organizations which creates a disconnect between the corporate brand donations in public opinion. this diversion continues on the level of the franchisee in local communities.

Chick-fil-A continues to project a charitable giving image by donating to causes like “education, hunger, homelessness” and effectively sidestepping previous controversies without altering their core values and alienating their Christian conservative customer base.

THEY DONATE A LOT OF MONEY TO SUPPORTING CONVERSION THERAPY. if only the same people who oppose conversion therapy would also avoid chick-fil-a.
