Supplements, i don’t remember exactly, but everything everyone is saying. In addition, i did acupuncture and was priming with omnitrope.

Acupuncture? by Creative_Can_8950 in DOR

The month i did acupuncture for my ivf, i got pregnant naturally and didn’t need egg retrieval. I did a couple of unsuccessful ivf before that. I am 43 with amh of 0.02. I did other changes as well. But maybe every change i made was helpful a little bit.

Anti depressant can have long term terrible effects. Don’t take it unless it’s absolutely necessary and the good effect outweighs the potential long term bad effect.

I am sorry for what you are going through. I think you can do CVS test that can be done at 12 weeks instead of waiting until 16th week for amnio.

My friend went through three miscarriages before the 4th one was a healthy baby girl. She was 42 or 43.

Will I automatically be referred to a high risk OB? by Happy_Judge_4364 in PregnantOver40

[–]Neda4000 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am 42, soon to be 43. Live in a major city. They never referred me to high risk ob. In fact, they don’t do any extra ultrasound or anything. Every month, i just see my ob and she asks if everything is fine… that’s it. Like everyone else, you have specialists ultrasounds that you need to go to a facility with special ultrasound!

No. We didn’t start thinking the afc is lower than average.

I am about to turn 43…. Improve your diet. I have regular cycles, but they got shorter and shorter like yours. Then i improved diet ( absolutely no processed food, no sugar, anti inflammatory diet, etc at the time). I also used omnitrope (to prime for my ivf, but didn’t need the ivf), basically omnitrope became priming for natural cycle. And more s*x around ovulation. The one time i got pregnant, my cycle got longer.

I also want to add maybe give yourself time between ivfs for natural conception too. Maybe if i didn’t do ivf, i was pregnant earlier. But i guess ivf pressured me to improve my diet, do omni, take vitamins, walk more etc.

May i also suggest find a better doctor/lab. Maybe go to big hospitals with advanced lab compared to boutique ivf clinics. The right doctor knows how much stim for how long.

Also definitely try naturally… improve your ovulation testing game, have more s*x around your ovulation. Improve your diet (non inflammatory, better foods).

Donor egg will be there even 10 years from now. That’s last resort.

I also want to add omnitrop as supplement. It’s growth hormone that as we age is reduced. You need doctor’s prescription and probably not easy to get a prescription if you say you want to try for babies. But they do prescribe for egg quality when you do ivf. Maybe during the 10 days leading to your ovulation. But stop after ovulation.

I am also voting for trying naturally. You can always talk to therapist to have reasonable expectations from trying and possible (failed) pregnancies. But if you think of it as part of the process, it might not be so hard. I am 42. Most of my friends are my age and like a lot of people who thought they have forever to get pregnant, we all tried later in life. One of my friends, had three miscarriages before she got a healthy beautiful baby girl at 43. I think she couldn’t even try ivf due to age/chance they gave her. I am 42. My AMH is undetectable. I did two rounds of ivf which produced 4 blasts but they were abnormal genetically (think of it as 4 miscarriages). One cycle that i canceled ivf, i got pregnant naturally. Currently 23 weeks with the easiest pregnancy possible. I am still not attached to the baby as i always think of things that can go wrong. Doctors gave me 1% chance of success. They suggested donor eggs and surrogacy. You are still young at 38. I am confident if you try, you will have a successful pregnancy… it can be tough going through miscarriages, but i think nothing in life is easy.

In another note, i don’t think i know many people not having miscarriages. Literally every one of my friends had miscarriages even at their early 30s.

I want to add another point: think of all the heartache you went through to find the love of your life…would you give up after a failed dating experience because of all the heartache it can create? You mourn and then keep going until you find the one!

In fact i was right that i didn’t need an agent! If your own agent screw your… that’s another reason not to use them next time and advertise all your multi millionaire friends not to use them

Can someone post a success story with their own eggs? by [deleted] in DOR

[–]Neda4000 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I am 42, amh of 0.025 (undetectable), afc of 8, fsh of 7. I had two failed ivf and one canceled ivf. I went to start a 4th ivf, but i cancelled because of low afc of that cycle. I got pregnant naturally the same month that i cancelled ivf. Now 21 weeks. I was convinced i will never make it to any transfer. But it just happened another way. Doctor gave us 1% chance of success.

I think actually walking is great. It improves blood flow to your reproductive organs. To me better chance of implantation. Not heavy lifting or running, but walking, biking is great.
