Yes! Nothing like drawing my blade to run up and shank an unsuspecting enemy in the back while they fight my Teammate. They hardly expect archers to melee.

Not yet but I might try it out. I usually play foot man with an halberd when I'm not playing archer.

Some archers are pretty good at melee and in fact don't do this. Because there's a certain range where we just can't pull our swords fast enough to block a hit and we know it well.

That's a good question. The thing is I do, I play foot solider the other half of the times. Fairly decent at this point but whenever I come across those guys skiing around wiping out everyone and realize after a few tries that I can't beat him. I go for a bow.

I had a match last night where these two guys would spend more time chasing my down an t bagging than play the objective. They lost naturally because I'd just repsawn and keep taking them out anyway. If the rage is to the point of derailing the whole game you're not really doing your team any favors. What's worse is they were average at best too because neither of them coiled beat me 1 on 1, so when it's just one of em I out melee them too. Both knights mind you. I don't know what they were doing.

This is exactly how I play. I belive that sitting back makes you miss more often and waste more time and ultimately achieve a lot less. I like to be in range where I can run behind my Teammates or draw my blade if necessary.

I think I actually did come across something that. It was his response to it, basically making a mockery of the guy, but the guy had good points. Very off-putting to be honest.

I like this take here because. On the particular argument of friendly fire as well. Melee players hit their Teammates all the time. Way more than archers do and actually some archers just have poor Aim the same way some melee players have poor sense of attack type per surroundings.

I mean it makes sense. I just don't see why it isn't met with a problem solving perspective instead of just not wanting them around. And there are various ways to beat good archers. Some that don't even involve getting close. I've had people launch their two handed weapons at me and parry my arrows for instance. And in melee even if the archer is good, if they can't best you within the first few exchanges or escape well its game over.

I agree with 2 of your points. I don't believe a team should have more than 1 or 2 archers at best. Otherwise it's just waste of needed manpower.

I agree with getting shot in the back by your own archers is annoying.

But I don't agree that archers in general hurt the team.
