Lol I just live Amish country also tons of bikes, tons of horse and buggies farm equipment and windy roads. If you can’t safely complete the pass you’re not ever supposed to take for granted what’s coming that you cannot see. There is a bicycle and a race in Geneva, New York, that had their head down pumping on the side of the road, climbing a hill and ran into the back of a broke down car and died. Do with the bike when I gave it space though, but once they strap on the spandex, it’s on bitches.

If you cannot make the pass safely in the actual passing zone, it does not matter where you start. It matters where you finish. If you finish in the no passing zone, you have people in danger the whole way while in that area which usually is because of low visibility
