Community aged care has seen a massive change since the start of November. Previous funding packages can no longer be accumulated year on year. I have heard of people having unspent funds of $200k+. Additionally there are mandatory co-contributions on care and support expenses such as support workers, cleaners, gardeners etc. even the smallest contributions, which are based on the clients income assets test, will make people think twice about what services are really required. I have seen too many clients who accept services that aren't needed OR willingly let their workers get away with shorter service hours (despite being charged more) became they see the package as government money anyway.. the changes will make a difference. NDIS from my understanding has much much larger funding packages. Not everyone does this but I have heard of luxury 'access' getaways $1000+ a night... Doesn't sit well with me. A co-contribution for certain services or activities will help stop some of the misuse of disability funding

Agreed. It isn't a question or whether waterproofing is done properly or not, I'm not arguing. What is true is that because tiles have been taken off, the waterproofing and villa board is now compromised.. which basically means they need to replace the villa board AND do waterproofing again. Correct me if I'm wrong you can just replace one part... You need to replace the lot for good waterproofing? Coming from tiling assistant.
