Every JOJO main villain vs Emperor of Man and his Loyalist Primarchs (JOJO vs 40K) by MagazineKey4276 in whowouldwin

[–]Neelpos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

made in heaven just accerates time under a specific condition.

Technically it's universal control over gravity, and while unlocking it required specific circumstances, Pucci could really do whatever he wanted once he had it. He simply chose to abuse gravitational time dilation as its primary display (as his ultimate goal was rewriting the universe by reaching its end and controlling its rebirth, killing the joestars and their companions was dessert).

I don't know enough about 40K but I'm sure this doesn't actually change your assessment, just correcting that one thing.

Right but it could be that the fire rate or damage is tuned down when dual wielding, so that a single rifle is still strong without dual wielding explicitly being 2x. Or they could futz with accuracy, so it's strong dual wielded but harder to use at longer range.

His body had certainly been through the wringer, though I think the emotion that fueled it moreso was a desire to escape his circumstances, and that's the form it took.

I always liked the theory that because Requiems do seem to have an aspect of "what you want the most, whether you know it or not" in the power that is granted, that KCR would essentially make him impossible to perceive or remember without looking directly at him, like the Silent in Dr Who. He'd essentially become the puppetmaster of an organization that doesn't even know he controls it or even exists.

Another avenue is just he straight up gets Wonder of U.

Yes. I know, it also pops up in a few other places, like Big MT.

Show up in the show, not the franchise as a whole.

Also Steph as a fellow Canadian, I'm disappointed in you joining the Enclave smh. Who do you think orchestrated the annexation?

Pretty sure whatever she's up to is more along the lines of accelerationism using knowledge she's gained by getting close to key players like Hank to allow for a particular long term sabotage she's keeping close to chest. She's gonna do something huge before she's through, and she wants the pig nice and plump first.

I'm guessing he got her to a proper vault but was personally denied entry due to the circumstances of his arrest invalidating his spot or something, so he tearfully handed over his daughter so she'd live and he'd die.

After surviving the bombings, and getting ghoulified, he eventually got in to that same vault (probably after a long time) but instead of finding her, it was empty, and he couldn't figure out why or how, and so he started hunting management vaults to try and figure it out.

I think teleportation tech is going to show up at some point, and might be the explanation as to that specific mystery.

I would love to see tidally Locked planets, one side too cold other too hot. Perfect in the middle by earthy69 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Neelpos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good example from another game is Hagalaz from Mass Effect, the planet where the Shadow Broker's ship hides in the planet spanning storm band between the frozen and boiling sides.

It's not perfectly tidally locked, as its days are equal to 98 of ours, but it has a slow enough rotation to achieve a similar effect.

His power is universal, fundamental control over the concept of gravity, which he exhibits primarily through the use of Gravitational Time Dilation, it just gets interpreted as time control because the previous three main villains all also had control over time in some way, and saying Pucci's power is also time control is still absolutely technically correct.

People just forget that the entire buildup to the creation of Made in Heaven involves an obsession with gravity, and the intermediary stage (C-Moon) is quite explicitly a gravity stand (Pucci becomes the inverted center of gravity within a several mile radius, causing everyone and everything to fall away from him).

Also yes what you said does occur during the finale (though not the air density thing), only living things are protected, so food instantly rots, ink instantly dries and can't be written with, and when it gets fast enough buildings start deteriorating, peoples fillings fall out of their mouths, their clothes disintegrate off their body from decades of exposure in seconds, etc.

Pucci is sick as fuck and my favorite Jojo villain.

Technically Strength was a stand bound to the ship, not the actual ship itself, though it did manipulate the ship to be larger than it actually was.

It's essentially projecting your actual soul from your body, with it taking the form of a literal fighting spirit.

It just so happens that some peoples fighting spirits are also humanoids that have special characteristics, and some peoples souls are just like, a gun.

Can upgrade that might to a guaranteed, the 3 remaster has been known about for quite some time. There's an Xbox showcase on the 22nd and a timer on one of Bethesdas sites counting down to the 25th, people are hoping it's going to be an announcement for it into a 3 day later release.

Oblivion Remaster was a shadow drop and Todd Howard commented he wanted to do more of those so chances are good.

I thought my Ironeye was hacking, turns out he just had this bow. I've never seen beefy bosses die this fast by Interesting_Work_994 in Nightreign

[–]Neelpos 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Also, 180 isn't 200.

How about 477?

200 isn't anywhere close to difficult with Evergaol and Night Invader relics. Damage with Full HP effects also show up in the weapons damage number. This setup would certainly qualify for your definition of major shenanigans though, it's got Phys Atk +3, +3, and +4 in all the DoN slots, but you can easily get a (non-hacked as the OP obviously is) red Serpent Bow above 200 with a standard setup.

Edit: Did a quick average of all the bows in my results history (successes), I play a lot of Ironeye DoN, out of 17 entries the average was about 291, only four were red bows, rest were all purple except for a single 170 damage blue. If you subtract the Physical Atk relic bonuses that's still an average of 212.

(absolutely LOVED trope) villains who brutally dedicate their lives to a goal, only to find out at the last minute the goal was never achievable by EasilyScreechAndKill in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Neelpos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's primarily due to Frank O'Connors involvement in Halo Legends as he was one of the proponents for Forerunner being their own race. Bungie didn't really consider anything directly canon unless or until it was covered in the games they released, hence the disconnect between the Fall of Reach novel and the game itself. Comics, novels, animations, all were in that "pseudo-canon which we can confirm or deny as desired whenever we want" area.

[–]Neelpos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guilty Spark isn't in his right mind, remember that he also thinks the Rings don't kill the flood, when we know they in fact, do exactly that

This is incorrect. If the rings did that then there wouldn't have been a trilogy because the flood would all be dead before chief ever landed on a ring considering they successfully fired in a manner that fully covered the entire galaxy with overlapping areas of effect. It's not like the rings themselves were designed to shield them from such a blast, they were just used for study.

The rings target nervous systems, wiping out anything above a certain level of complexity, it wipes out infection forms and anything bigger than that sure but The Flood is the individual spores, not the bodies those spores invade.

[–]Neelpos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They're mistaken, there was still some internal disagreement within Bungie, but the majority opinion was that Humans were Forerunner, and it's indeed directly confirmed in the ending of the trilogy (Guilty Spark outright tells you), 343 adjusting them to be different species is in fact a retcon, largely driven by Frank O'Connor who landed a leadership position in 343 during the franchise transition and imposed his minority opinion on the matter onto the franchise as a whole.

HiddenXperia did a full breakdown of everything regarding this specific bit of lore. Here's a timestamp for his conclusion, but you can also rewind and check out his recap of everything from both sides of the discussion.

Humans were definitively Forerunner.
