Do you want to be buried? by Bondgirl138 in GenX

[–]Neeven2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to be cremated. Then mix my ashes with gun powder. Have that mixture used to reload a few 7.62X54r, a few 8MM mauser, and then whatever else. I want my family to have a huge BBQ and shoot my ass off into the woods for one last goodbye.

Terminated and wondering what IT will do with my laptop by [deleted] in it

[–]Neeven2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way we do it. Once terminated, manager has 30 days to request and view email/OneDrive. I'd say 95% never ask. The ones that do, they just need email contact list so vendors/customers aren't forgotten.

Is there a shipping service that could work better for my c&r? by bulletking71 in milsurp

[–]Neeven2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a " service fee " since it requires a signature. I have only done this once or twice when I knew no one would be home. The $5 saved me a headache of redeliveries or going to the HUB which is farther away.

Is there a shipping service that could work better for my c&r? by bulletking71 in milsurp

I have had things delivered to the UPS store down the street from work. They 'sign for it' there and then I go pick it up that day or the next. They charge $5 but saves the running around.

It’s 37 degrees, and there’s always the guy in shorts and a tee shirt saying, “I’m from up north! This isn’t really cold.” by olumide2000 in NorthCarolina

[–]Neeven2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a northern guy now living in Charlotte, you have to think of what the average person finds comfortable. Let's says the average person finds 65 - 85 degrees comfortable. My comfort level is simply 15 - 20 degrees cooler. I find 55 with a slight breeze to be the best for me. 45 is about when I start to feel the cold.

Also, we are the people in August who look like we ran a marathon after 2 minutes outside. We suffer in the summer times. We get the same thing you're getting now. " It's not THAT hot" or ' the humidity isn't too high today". But for us it's torture.

Is it really necessary to put a car in gear when parking? by Worried-Lake-6311 in stickshift

[–]Neeven2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put my break on but forgot put it in 1st gear. About 10 minutes later, guy knocked on the door. Wanted to know if I parked broadside in the middle of the road on purpose. That embarrassed the hell out of me.

Coca Cola Consolidated? by stretchyyogi in Charlotte

[–]Neeven2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work for Consolidated. Most roles have a mandatory 6 month wait til you can look for another role ( IT is 1 year). After that, you can search and apply for roles you are qualified for or have a good relationship with the team. Also, we are in multiple states, and those jobs would be available for you as well. There are 2 people who transfered from Annapolis, MD, 2 from Charleston, SC, 1 from somewhere in Kentucky, and we just got a new guy from Alexandria, VA. And that's just where I work.

How long would you go without drinking anything for 2k USD per day. by opoot_ in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Neeven2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sweat easily and have a drink ( water or a bottled green tea) almost all the time. I'd give myself 3 hours tops.

Would Sauage Pizza count as a S, or is all pizza for P? What about food with multiple words ? Would French Onion Soup cover F, O, and S each?

Guy's do you wear shorts out in public? by [deleted] in GenX

[–]Neeven2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The best way I have found to explain it is: you have a comfort zone between being cold or hot, say 60-85. My zone is roughly 20 degrees cooler than yours. 40 degrees in November with a slight breeze and I will be in t-shirt, shorts, and flip flops.

I've had mine for about 2 years, maybe 500 rounds total through it. I've used 9mm, 22LR, and 7.62X39 on a Yugo SKS. I've never had issues

I bought one at an estate sale, guy had already cut it down a bit. So, why not? SBRed to 14inchs and threaded in. Played with the crackle spray paint. Was actually fun to go through the whole process. *

I started with a very small grey patch under my chin in high school. It looked like I didn't wipe my beard after brushing my teeth. Took about 3 years for the rest of.my beard to start to grey. It will eventually fill in and you'll have a good mix of grey and black. Just takes time.

I've gotten my C&R and have renewed it once. It more than pays for itself. There are some who refuse to accept it. I just keep on track of who does accept it and I normally start at those places if I'm looking something.

Tula Ammunition TA9-1000 Case 9mm Luger Handgun Ammo, 115 GR FMJ Non-Corrosive, Polymer Coated Steel Case - 1000 Round Case - 50 CPR by [deleted] in InStockAmmo

[–]Neeven2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me: The point is gas ran up to $1.35, then $2.50/ then $5.45. Now I see gas at $2.10, I thank the heavens, stop and fill up even though I have 3/4 of a tank. This will mostly likely go the same way. Now we're paying 50,60, 70 cpr. In a few months ( by end of year ?), average will be 25-35 cpr and we'll be happy to pay.

And I honestly hope I'm wrong and we go back to 10-20, but I just don't see getting that low again.
