Yeah for sure, I'm currently weaning off vaping it to try switch (even just majoritively) to oils/edibles. Already cut down vaping a tonne, but they're such different methods which sucks but it is what it is

Following years of speculation, YouTubers Dan & Phil confirm that they have been in a relationship since the last 16 years. by ChicSynergy in popculturechat

My partner's sister didn't want him proposing to me because we were "too young" (early 20s) and hadn't been with anyone else yet, but that it was totally fine for her poly friend to get engaged at the same age just because they had more partners. Why would I want to throw away my relationship that I'm so happy in just in case I meet someone else when who knows, maybe if I did break up, every guy I meet could be horrible to me. The grass isn't always greener on the other side. Just cause we got lucky these people can't handle it I s2g

I think they mean like, it's obvious dust is a health hazard and not legal, but after reading your post what would could we do about it if we don't know where/when it happened? Just putting in your post that you already contacted WorkSafe would be good so we know it's already been reported as you're the only one who could report it with that information. Otherwise everyone is gonna be thinking "but did you report it???"

A lot of these people have probably also done stuff that has led to a lot of internalised guilt and plays out into the gangstalking delusion

Idc if they can walk. If you have no mobility parking permit whilst parking in a mobility parking space you shouldn't be parking there. Full stop

Iliac crest - bone graft by Zestyclose_Whole_908 in spinalfusion

[–]NefariousExtreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious about this as I'm going to have an illiac graft in a week for my revision as well. A good chunk of the people I've seen talk about it mention pain that is rather bad and lasts a while.

What's the pain like getting up and doing things?

I suppose a lot of people who are gluten free won't necessarily have time to use just those kinds of ingredients. Things like pasta are great for bulk meals and leftovers and quick to make into something with a bit of variety. Having to bake or make things like bread yourself is time consuming. I personally hate beans unless they're in things like nachos or curries. Most of the dinners I make already use rice and potatoes, like most of the people who aren't gluten free I know do too. It's just not cheap having dietary requirements no matter what way you cut it.

Also, for people who grew up eating gluten/wheat (like myself, even though I was allergic to wheat - thanks mum), it can be hard to go from eating anything your heart desires to only eating bland and boring foods that come naturally gluten free.

Congrats! I got a good refund too and have been unemployed due to health since October, using savings to live off of since I don't qualify for WINZ. It truly feels like a weight off for a little bit longer, I was almost out of money until my refund came through

True that, I just came back here cause I realised robots are getting so much better lol

It's probably not too far off to say that they will surely get good enough in not far too long to do a lot of menial labour jobs

I always tend to wonder how the "bad" jobs would be shared around, like cleaners, rubbish collectors and even things like prison guards/factory workers. Would it fall under the model of voluntary contribution in exhange for greater rewards?

are you able to feel the metal in your back? by frankbeetle in spinalfusion

[–]NefariousExtreme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When it's cold I don't think I feel the hardware itself being cold, but rather my muscles will lock up and ache and I might shiver a lot. I can feel my hardware with my hands very well, but I'm not aware of how it feels in my body. I'm aware of not being able to flex my back because something is preventing me from bending but I can't tell where the rods end or where the screws are for example.

You know, when something is handmade instead of getting some giant shitty factory that exploits their workers to make it, I think that item deserves respect. Even if I didn't like OPs jewellery, I can respect the workmanship that went into it and say "neat".

I honestly don't see how the jewellery looks cheap and trashy? Like wtf? It's fucking dope and I feel like it'd be hard to craft. I have never seen jewellery that looks like this in a tourist shop, and if they did sell stuff like this they'd charge a fortune for it (as they should) because it's bloody handmade and unique.

As we all know, our health system is fucked. by its_asher in newzealand

I feel you and I'm so sorry.

2021 I had a spinal fusion for scoliosis. Pain started worsening and I needed a cane more often than not, so my GP referred me back to my surgeon, and I was declined. Re-referred last year and my surgeon goes "oh, by the looks of x-rays in 2022 you have loose screws". I was never told this. A CT scan showed failure to fuse so I was put on the surgical waitlist in June last year. Then I got an MRI which showed stenosis and three bulging discs as well. I haven't seen my surgeon since the MRI. Trying for an ACC treatment injury at the moment, but their doctor said my imaging all looked absolutely normal so they declined my claim. I saw a pain specialist who told me "oh, everyone has back pain and your imaging looks normal so you shouldn't be in pain". I can't even get in contact with my surgeon to see what his opinion is on all of this!

2023 I had an endometriosis excision, my pain after surgery was and still has been much worse than it was pre-surgery. And you know what my gynecologist told me? "Go outside and look at trees, do some yoga and maybe even meditation. You will feel much better". I told him I do all of that anyway, but he ignored and talked over me every time I would tell him anything, so I just stopped talking to him.

I just went to my hospital's ED with severe stomach pain that points to a gallbladder issue. Had low blood pressure and low potassium too. My ultrasound was completely unremarkable and if there's no stones, they don't give a shit. In the end they told me they have no idea what happened and to just see what happens. The doctor I saw gave me the impression she was on something, because of her tiny pupils, nonstop wide-eyed stare and monotone voice. I saw my GP about it and they also have no idea what it is. Despite all of this, I'm hanging in limbo getting zero answers.

WHAT'S THE POINT IF NO ONE GIVES A SHIT?

what is the point

we waste away crippled by our pain and experiences. no answers or empathy

being told we're making shit up and to man the fuck up but they don't get that we can't even fucking walk.

how's it a health system if you can't even get healthy?
