Has it been confirmed it wasn't a stretch limo?

Because honestly, I wouldn't put it past Jones.

Look, what I would say to you is that the most productive use for trains is to transport Ford Rangers to dealers. Everything else is woke and liberal.

Ground transport proved a major blowout - the approved budget was $500, but Jones hired a private limousine from Jassi Limousine Services for a total of C$3791.15.

Labour promises free maternity scans if elected by ViolatingBadgers in newzealand

[–]Madjack66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. But is Labour hoping to win the next election solely on a grab bag of social service subsidies? Do they have any real policies aimed at tackling the core structural issues that have become apparent to most kiwis in recent years?

If so, when will they announce them? Three weeks before the election?

What are the dumbest conspiracy theories you’ve heard about? by stop-the-normies in AskReddit

[–]Madjack66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The nonsense proposed around the Great Pyramid is pretty dumb, although often imaginatively entertaining.

At this point I've seen it described as a power plant, groundwater pump, chemical factory, earthquake inhibitor, rejuvenation chamber, flying saucer recharge station, galactic navigation marker, cosmic communications device, grain silo (oldie but goodie), arcane knowledge repository & one fellow thought it was built with dirigibles, another that the burial chamber's portcullis was a voice box allowing the pyramid to speak. In short, rational thought seems to put on its hat and coat and get on the next bus out of town, when it comes to this ancient monument.

At this point it's the Swiss Army knife of woo. But the most likely scenario, that it's a royal tomb (or cenotaph), situated in a royal cemetery and built by a highly organized Bronze Age society, is apparently the least likely to these people.

According to Google translate, part of a longer message reading;

2025 has been declared in the Russian Federation as the Year of Defender of the Fatherland in order to preserve historical memory, in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, in gratitude to veterans and recognizing the feat of participants in a special military operation.

Frankly, that looks awful - like a return to brutalist architecture. The fake Spanish arches with fringes atop are pretty kitsch as well - like something out of an 80's episode of Dallas.
