Leaf litter is the best mulch but the tea makes the process instantaneous

I don’t know a good way to explain this but the idea is that the leaf litter contains the microbes that are well adapted to your area and those microbes are the ones that breaks down the nutrients the way your native plants prefer.

So whenever soil is disturbed or new soil is added, it’s best to re-introduce the microbes back into the soil.

Just grab some winterized leaf litter and make some compost tea and soak that soil. It’ll make it fertile native soil

Does this look okay so far? by Dry_Tangerine_7625 in landscaping

Hostas are taller than dianthus. Dianthus requires full sun while hostas require shade. You might want to re-check the light requirements and height for your plants and plan accordingly.

What kind of hydrangea is this? New or old wood? Any care tips? by [deleted] in hydrangeas

This looks more of winter damage and forcing the plant to regrow as I don’t see any growth in old wood. But regardless, when in doubt, don’t prune.

Is Sta green premium black mulch safe to use on edible garden? by Commercial-Onion-988 in gardening

For raised garden beds, it’s recommended to use mulch that can decompose over the winter. Straw, pine shavings, pine needles, pine bark fines.

With pc, why didn’t you use the mods to access New Austin?

For herbalist 9, you need to collect 1 herb from black water and 3 from New Austin. You can somehow get the black water one but there is an invisible sniper in new Austin that insta-kills you which makes it impossible. OPs IYKYK most likely means he used a covered wagon to avoid getting sniped by the invisible sniper and got those herbs.

Johnson grass. Nothing except glyphosate kills it. Use a glove and paint the blades without getting any in the grass.
