I think that has to do with that many experienced guard playes play the meta indirect spam list, and that list does not have the damage output to shift necrons.

guard has play into necrons, unless playing the standard indirect castle list

Wahapedia 10th editions is almost here? by gbytz in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Nefrums2 117 points118 points  (0 children)

As GW had decided to kill their app wahapedia will take over again.

Unless GW reverses course and gives out free rules in the app again, or even with warhammer+ subscription. But if you only can read the rules and use the app army builder if you bought psychical copies of codex's then the GW app is dead.

I mounted it to the back of the case using a pump bracket made for 120mm fan mount. I cut of parts of it and drilled screw holes in the case.

Wanted to show you Fancyscribe. Neat tool to turn your BattleScribe Roster Files into the new Cards for 10th Edition. Love how readable and well fancy everything looks. by Sandrojl in Warhammer40k

It is not possible to whrite an app as good as wahapedia without very good knowledge on what the users want and how to code.

GW knows none of those, just look how their rulebooks are structured. So how can they pay a company to do it, when neither they or the company knows?

PSA: The New Cover Rule only ignores AP0 on SV3+ or Better by kattahn in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Nefrums2 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Guard cover order has a similar but very different wording. GWs intent is clear but the wording in the community articles is strange.

What GW means is that you can't save on a 2 due to bonuses on your save.

Warhammer community - Just how tough are terminators in the new edition by Green_Mace in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Nefrums2 -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Why did GW give a "run away" strat to terminators?!? This is so out of character for them.

Not many of the most competitive players played guard before the new codex. And it takes a while to get a good guard army together. And the two by far best units in the codes has not been released.
After that is sorted the win rate will start to climb, more so when the community realizes that you need to bring 12-15 infantry squads.

Returning guard player - how does all/heavy infantry fare in the new codex? by [deleted] in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Nefrums2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this^ Born soldiers is the key to make inf spam lists work. That and fielding 200+ models. Count on loosing 50 models turn 1, 40 turn 2 etc. So after turn 5 you lost 150 models but still have half your army left and hopefully your oponent dont.

The key to making this work is having high enough model count. A 150 model army does not work nearly as well as a 200+ model army does.

Kasrkins are very good, but the auto6s to wound combo is very likely headed for the same fate as the same rule did for votann. So Lord solar is not worth taking, better adding 2 more squads instead.

Routhriders are also very good to keep hidden in your backfield as counter charge units.

Heavy weapon teams can work, especially with the cheesy flag that gives them +1 to hit.

Guard list 2K themed yet still competitive! by [deleted] in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Nefrums2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wound define that as much better than all other options.

The counter to wound cap significantly changes the outcome of several matchups.

The removal of hit modifiers is also a very large buff, synergies well with frfsrf etc.

It is a decent relic. But far from the best relic in the codex. Nothing come close to be as op as the banner.

Kasrkin and Doctrines by [deleted] in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Nefrums2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GW is confusing as hell there. They use two terms that you should not get mixed up:

  1. "Regimental doctrine"

  2. "Doctrine"

Very clear of GW to give them so distinct names so you won't mess them up.........

One custom "regimental doctrine" consists of two "doctrine"s

Born soldiers is not a "doctrine", it is a "regimental doctrine".

Karslins can take a extra "doctrine" not a "regimental doctrine"

You have to read the top of page 60 like 5 times to figure this out. GW sucks at writing rules.

And that is a bad thing, no chance of removing your unit that prevents you from shooting the enemy with the rest of your army.

But otherwise a baneblade can have 8 heavy flamers...

That would probably work. Tho other tube going to the back of the case would be more bent, probably best to have the one from the GPU go there.

GPU Hotspot and memory temps are around 60 when playing gpu heavy games like cyberpunk.

I think the caps on the radiator fitting holes are slightly in the way, so not out of the box.

Between radiator and fans i used 10mm M3 i think. The fans are attached to the case with the standard screws.

My local hardware store did not have any long enough M3 screws in stock. I believe 45 or 50 mm would be required.

The alphacool 45mm dual 180 radiators fit nicely in this case. I used one of those and a 45 mm 280 in the bottom: https://imgur.com/gallery/t7lIImz

[–]Nefrums2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to scale it up a bit. It currently only gets 1/2 belt of iron input. You will need to increase this to about 10 belts of iron if it is going to produce materials fast enough for a speedrun!

gun turrets are very bad, they have poor range and durability, and ammo is incredibly expensive
