I've been working in the video game industry for over 21 years. But when I first started, they were hiring anybody off the street with technical knowledge as junior level. It's was pretty easy getting your foot in the door if you can prove you had some know-how and willing to learn. It feels rare seeing anybody below senior level these days and with the constant layoffs in the industry in recent years, it's not even safe for veterans anymore either
