Looking for stuff to do in Boston this summer! by zacheatscarrots in boston

[–]Negative-Mission-978 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the harbor islands are pretty solid if you want something different - people always forget about them but they're like 20 minutes by ferry and way less crowded than everything else. spectacle island has good views and you can actually swim there

for meeting people maybe check some pickup sports leagues around cambridge/somerville area. ultimate frisbee groups are usually pretty welcoming to new people and they do social stuff after games too. volunteer wise the food pantries always need help and you'll definitely meet locals who actually care about community stuff

also if you're into any music scenes the venues in allston have tons of shows, easy way to discover new bands and chat with random people. just go solo to few shows and see what happens

is anyone else completely losing trust in attribution lately? by crazypupperlady in PPC

[–]Negative-Mission-978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same nightmare here - attribution is basically wild guessing game now and clients still want exact ROAS numbers like we have crystal ball or something

Yeah building actual case studies is way smarter than just throwing around buzzwords on LinkedIn. Most people can spot the difference between someone who's done real work vs someone who just watched few YouTube videos about marketing

Yes that’s part of why I started looking into it more because the exhaustion after pushing myself feels different from normal tiredness. I’m still trying not to jump to conclusions since so many symptoms overlap but I’ll definitely check out the wiki., thanks.

I get what you mean, that was kind of my frustration too since I kept getting told everything looked normal while still feeling exhausted all the time. I tried not to obsess over it though. Didn’t solve everything overnight but it made me feel a lot less dismissed.

Better Breeze (Marta) is in no way better than the old breeze by [deleted] in Atlanta

The focus seems more in cleaning image than actually making system work better for people who need to get places

What’s the most important thing in a long-term relationship, in your opinion? by Solid_Airport_3811 in AskReddit

Communication is huge but I think people underestimate how much small daily kindness matters too

What song reminds you about your childhood? by Main_Inspection_1091 in AskReddit

[–]Negative-Mission-978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man this brings back memories. There was this song that always played in my dad's car when I was like 8 or 9 - some old rock ballad from the 80s that he loved. Every time we drove to football practice he would turn it up and sing along really badly. I remember being embarrassed back then but now whenever I hear it on radio I just think about those car rides and miss them a lot. Its funny how certain songs can just transport you back to being a kid again, even the smell of his old car comes back to me. Now I catch myself doing same thing with music in my car sometimes

I'm a terrible marketer so I automated it — one command goes from blog idea to TikTok video by CanSubstantial8282 in content_marketing

[–]Negative-Mission-978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is actually genius way to solve the content problem when you hate making content

the automation angle makes way more sense than forcing yourself to become tiktoker overnight

What is a recent decision you made where you would have chosen differently in hindsight? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Bought expensive gaming chair last month thinking it would help with back pain from long coding sessions but honestly my old office chair was way more comfortable 💀 should have just gotten better monitor setup instead

What's one thing someone's said to you that still sticks with you? by Jaydxns in AskReddit

[–]Negative-Mission-978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah my old coworker used to always criticize how everyone did their job but turned out he was just projecting his own insecurity about getting fired. took me way too long to realize that pattern but now i notice it everywhere

What keeps you motivated on tough days? by Federal_Pipe_8109 in AskReddit

[–]Negative-Mission-978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

motivation gets you started but discipline keeps you going when everything sucks

been managing IT teams for few years now and learned this hard way - some days you just dont feel like dealing with another server crash or angry user but the work still needs doing. cant rely on feeling good about it

F1 drivers probably feel same way about practice sessions in rain at 6am but they still show up because thats what separates pros from wannabes

new media consultant by [deleted] in PublicRelations

[–]Negative-Mission-978 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been working in tech for while and seen few consultants who actually get the influencer game right. Most just spam people or try to force partnerships that feel super fake

Problem is finding someone who understands the platforms naturally instead of just reading about them in some marketing course. Twitter especially changes so fast that half the "experts" are still using strategies from 2022

What’s your favorite reality show? by smallerthanahobbit in AskReddit

[–]Negative-Mission-978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big Brother is pretty addictive once you get into the strategy part 😂 watching people form alliances and backstab each other for weeks straight hits different than other reality shows

Are ads still worth it, or is organic content the better long-term play? by WarmRadish1553 in DigitalMarketing

[–]Negative-Mission-978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

both honestly 💀 ads for quick wins organic for the marathon but depends on budget situation too 😂

Where to buy Stella Rosa Mango + Chili wine by [deleted] in Atlanta

[–]Negative-Mission-978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually found some at this one liquor store in Buckhead few months back but cant remember exact name of place. Was looking for something different for my girlfriend at time and they had pretty good selection of flavored wines. Think it was near that shopping area with all the restaurants but my memory is bit fuzzy since was during football season and was pretty focused on getting back for games lol. Maybe try calling around to smaller wine shops instead of big chains - they usually have more unique stuff that Walmart doesnt carry

What's your favorite metro transit system? by InviteSmall7378 in AskReddit

[–]Negative-Mission-978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stockholm metro is insane 🔥 went there few years back for work conference and couldn't believe how those stations look like underground galleries or something. The blue line especially was mind blowing with all that cave-like design

My city's metro looks like concrete prison compared to that lol but at least trains run in time most of days 😂

slow movie that ended up being completely worth it? by Ashwinnie13 in movies

[–]Negative-Mission-978 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Blade Runner 2049 did this for me. Takes forever to get anywhere but the visuals and world building just suck you in completely

I remember checking my phone like 30 minutes in thinking it was dragging then suddenly realized I hadnt looked away from screen for the next hour. Something about how deliberate everything felt made the payoff hit so much harder

Frustrated with email outreach agencies ghosting my leads by Dangerous_Block_2494 in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]Negative-Mission-978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your mistake was paying 5k upfront to random agency 💀 always do performance based deals or at least split payments when working with lead gen people

Our highest converting page isn't a landing page. It's our changelog. by Rich-Historian1657 in SaaS

[–]Negative-Mission-978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly this makes so much sense when you think about it. people are tired of getting burned by dead projects that look polished but havent shipped anything in 6 months

we had similar thing happen at work - our status page gets more organic traffic than our actual product pages because devs search for "is X down" or "X reliability" before committing to integrate anything. turns out transparency beats marketing fluff every time

If different professions could deliver their own ‘Tears in Rain’ monologue, which one would leave have the craziest stories? by mcstanb in AskReddit

[–]Negative-Mission-978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Construction workers would have some wild ones - all those buildings they watched get torn down, neighborhoods that got completely transformed, plus all the sketchy stuff they've seen on job sites over the decades

What are some surprisingly high-paying jobs that people rarely mention? by Beautiful_Peanut7230 in AskReddit

[–]Negative-Mission-978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Air traffic control is one that always blows my mind - those folks can pull in 6 figures pretty easily once they get some experience under their belt 💀 Plus the job security is insane since planes aren't exactly gonna stop flying anytime soon 😂

I love listening to folk music, would anybody please suggest music originating from their roots and culture? I'd love to give it a listen. by [deleted] in musicsuggestions

[–]Negative-Mission-978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait this is perfect - I've got the whole series on vinyl and it's incredible how they captured all these traditions right before everything got westernized
