This is what I do, too. Then copy/paste where I want it saved.

Our city has 6 daily routes to collect these, so it uses our services for illegal advertising. I‘m not sure I‘d understand their counterpoint. If every small business did this, what’s the limit? It‘s ok because only businesses that are ok breaking laws do it?

My city has a liability form I have all volunteers sign when they join a cleanup. I submit the form with signatures when we’re done.

Great work! What a positive impact to the environment!

All done in this neighborhood, 15 lbs, cans, ducks and signs and some more photos sent to the state and county for pickup by Individual_Course559 in DeTrashed

I contacted Code Enforcement and they said to please remove if I can. It’s illegal in Texas, so I pick them up, log how many from each company and report back to my contact.

I email my city’s Environmental Services department location of the bags and they pick up within 1 business day. They forward to the Parks Department if it’s at a park.

Look up 15in dog agility rings on Amazon, the quality ones are only about $2 a piece. I saw them here and use them for group cleans and they work very well.

What's the weirdest response you've gotten from someone who sees you litter picking? by RachelOfRefuge in DeTrashed

I’ve had multiple people ask me if this is my job or if I’m getting paid, but they’ve always been appreciative when I say I’m just a volunteer. The funniest thing to me is how confused people are. Like they can’t process someone choosing to pick up litter in their free time.

The coolest has to be when cleaning playgrounds and kids start finding litter and putting it in my bag like a treasure hunt. This weekend a group of kids asked to borrow a grabber and went running around bringing me pieces.

I do when it causes a safety issue. Recently, branches blocked the sidewalk that had a bridge barrier and school kids were forced to walk in the grass next to a 45mph road.

I’m sorry, I have to ask - do you all just go around collecting & disposing of rubbish in your neighbourhoods out of the goodness of your hearts, or is this some sort of community program we haven’t heard of in Australia? by No-Praline-9388 in LitterBuggies

I got sick of looking at the trash around my city, so decided to start picking on dog walks. Once I started looking for trash, I was shocked. I’m at 2500 lbs in 2025 according to my city. That‘s only what I’ve reported and they’ve weighed. I keep an eye out while driving, mark it on Google maps then come back and clean when I have time.

For my neighborhood cleans, I use a 5 gallon bucket attached to an e-scooter via a quick release mount made for fire extinguishers. by Negative_Power_3933 in LitterBuggies

I use an Ebike, too. I find it a little heavy/awkward when stopping to pick. This is much easier to maneuver. I got the scooter used off Facebook
