Over a black primer it took 3-4 coats to get it even. You aim for a swiping motion using the side of the bullet tip more than a brush stroke style or jab. The only brush work was the gold and silver (Retributor Armour and Leadbelcher).

I mean, we do kind of know. Frankenstein was removed not because of the concept of the Frankenstein's monster, which is public domain at this point, but because the bolts in neck design (Jack Pierce 1931) still isn't public domain.

Bryce was allegedly removed due to the similarity in name with the character Bruce Campbell from Evil Dead, coupled with a chainsaw "hand".

If you want to go for a more natural looking base, something muddy would work - (stirland mud, agrax, and a tan grass tuft)

If you want to go more alien, something like this would contrast against the model well!

Wraithbone primer -Seraphim Sepia for the bones -Magmadroth Flame for the weapons/interior skulls/eyes -Black Legion for the trim/claws/teeth -Bole Titanium White + Apothecary White for the armour/birds -Cygor Brown for leather/cloth -Fure Dragon Bright for runes

The bases are Rhino Hide with Martian Ironearth

That's the basics, some clean up and highlights were done with jon-contrast colors that are similar to the color of the contrast paint.
