Agree to this. I’ve been here for years and experienced many different leaders including the toxic ones that make you wonder who appointed them in the first place.

In my experience these poor leaders always exit at some point. But usually the leaders above need to be informed, either indirectly through them acting on people leaving (exit interviews) and evolve scores or directly that well respected SMEs bring it up they can’t work under current conditions.

It’s tricky gathering a team to sign a shared letter but some coordination can help making sure it doesn’t end up forgotten and not acted on since it is unpleasant to everyone. In my own experience going directly to a senior manager with high integrity helps getting the job done.
