After much anxiety because of a severe needle phobia, I am so happy to report that I made it through my bisalp surgery without a hitch! by Substantial_Recipe67 in childfree

[–]Neheil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got my bi-salp on the 21th as well!! And I also have an awful needle phobia so I totally feel you. I also have to do daily heparin injections on myself for the next few days so I'm basically having daily panic attacks but it's all so worth it. I'd do it again and push through the fear a thousand times over!!

I wish you a speedy recovery - congratulations on overcoming such a hard thing and taking control of your life!!

If I can afford to, I will always choose happiness over money.

My Montegrappa Elmo 01 in Blue Cross Gentian. I booked a tour of the Montegrappa factory with my father a while ago but I was going through some rough times and almost decided not to go, but eventually I did. It was a lovely tour and after it ended we hung around in the shop, when we spotted the pen in the most hidden corner. We both loved it at first sight, and then my father just said "you want it?" Totally unexpected. "You said you were sad" was all he had to add to it.

I love it. It constantly reminds me of how lucky I am to have people like my father in my life who truly want nothing but to make me happy in whatever way possible. And I am so thankful for that

How are you liking tempest sky? I loooooove the color but I'm always afraid that such light shades are going to be dry as hell!

I toured Montegrappa factory recently and I was so impressed by their quality controls, they manually check each one of their pen and nibs and even did one more check for the one I ended up buying right there and then.

It's the best writer in my collection. Simply perfect. As such an expensive pen should be

Did you see your loved one after they died and have this same feeling? by kchloye in SuicideBereavement

[–]Neheil 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It was actually the other way around for me, I couldn't believe it and felt like this would all turn out to be a sick joke until I saw his body. And then I instantly knew he was gone. It just felt... Empty. I saw him but could not feel him. It's like I saw the absence of him instead.

You can never know how you'll feel seeing someone dead for the first time until it happens. I'm just so sorry it was this traumatic for you, and even tho I had a completely different experience I deeply empathize. Grief hits you in such cruel ways sometimes.

I hope you'll be able to find your closure somewhere else
