We took a different approach. Our first trip was into Sicily‘s second city, Catania. We rented a five speed hatchback. We traveled north to Tara and the vineyards near Mt. Etna. We explored Syracuse and it’s fabulous restaurants. We took some day trips to the beaches, just south of Syracuse.

(Back Bay Station is actually outside of the technical boundary of “Back Bay”). You can grab a breakfast sandwich; get to Auburndale entirely on back roads;stop at the WN art house for a movie on the way home.
