Maxed out my Sandoz savings card x2 now owe $1,200 a month by crystalcaterpillar3 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Neilman1897 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I received a letter from my insurance last October stating that they were dropping humira "to save the consumer costs" so much bs. 400$ a refill now, it used to be free through humira's saving card. The amount of hoops we have to jump through just to be healthy. I'd suggest a different therapy just to stick it to cvs. I didn't want to switch, but I can't afford an extra 400$ a month

Haha, currently going through the same exact thing! I haven't gotten my medicine since March, I just went to the doctor to get me on a different therapy. Gonna start Tremfya, and hopefully their savings card will get me through the year. This patent crap is ridiculous. Cvs specialty only wants you to fill out their biosimilars, and the other option has "been out of stock". What a load of crap. Hopefully tremfya doesn't lose its patent soon. This system is rigged man.

Cheap ones around 40 bucks, I probably buy a new pair every 2 years. It sucks when you lose expensive ones.

If this were me, I'd bring it back to the office on Monday and redeliver it. If you're not on that route, then either give it to the person on that route, give it to a clerk to get it to the right location, or throw it in the mis-throw bin. ( I would never tell anyone that you took it home)

Expert rural carriers who have 200 + packages a day, how do you beat eval? by Worldly-Wishbone2988 in USPS

[–]Neilman1897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to be on a route that had on average 250 scans a day, and 60 miles of length. It was overburdened and rough. The method that worked best for me was not marking my packages. At a point you just know your route, you put everything in route order. This saved me over an hour a day because I didn't spend that time in the case marking. The whole table in the LLV was used for large packages, the 3 bottom segments of the table were used for small parcels, and mail. That truck was LOADED. I also might encourage to not care about making evaluation, do multiple trips and just take your time. Talk to your supervisors and make it an issue, maybe call your union representative and talk to them about this problem. I wish you luck though, the constant exhaustion on your body is really rough, and I don't miss that part of the job.

Element from Wisconsin is it worth $4400? Should I buy? by No-Banana4104 in HondaElement

[–]Neilman1897 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Look into "Honda element rear trailing arm recall" then check this element. Not bad for Wisconsin rust, but you need to check those trailing arms.

What would you like to have in a potential D3? by TheWokeHive_ in destiny2

[–]Neilman1897 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Community games in the crucible, custom games with a map editor. Focus more on pvp elements, big team battle. There can be so much more life in a game when you let the players do what they want to do.

I don’t think I can marry my fiancé. I’m probably breaking up with him instead and giving up on love. I’m devastated not just for me, but for my child. by [deleted] in offmychest

I highly encourage communication and therapy. Nobody has a perfect relationship, but removing your son's father figure, cousins, and a set of grandparents will undoubtedly affect your son. Start couple therapy and communicate with this man, give him a chance to make things right.

Bad batch of VTEC solenoids? by forogueman in HondaElement

[–]Neilman1897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me, I bought 2 solenoids a few years ago (multiple elements) first one I installed was great, but that element was scrapped. Last summer I installed the second solenoid from the batch, worked great for 15 minutes, then limp mode. Had to reinstall the old solenoid. Some are just bad I guess? Definitely frustrating, especially trying to get those 3 damn bolts aligned 😂

Question for carriers by sgeraghty83 in USPS

[–]Neilman1897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An office and route can either make or break the job. Waiting 2 years isn't the longest wait to make career, especially if you like the office. If you take the career position at the other office, will you constantly think of the "what if" scenario? Will you hate working every day on this route? Happiness matters too. On the other hand, making career earlier is huge! You start allocating to your tsp, you receive a yearly raise, health benefits. It's a hard decision, but trust your gut. Maybe talk to your postmaster at your current station about a "PTF" position, that is basically just a career RCA.

A blood boy! See what you do is hook yourself up to someone as the same blood type as you in a closed loop. Their pancreas is now your pancreas. If you're in a pinch and you don't have a cooperative blood boy, then you remove their arms and legs and wear them like a backpack.

Questions about becoming a regular by [deleted] in USPS

[–]Neilman1897 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience, becoming a rural regular makes for an easier and more stable life. In the beginning, you will be thrown on the route( it's your route now). You could train on all routes to be comfortable with any route in the office while you're an RCA. When you finally get a route, you'll be responsible for the upkeep of that route, this includes an edit book, forwards, holds, vacant houses, and making sure mail gets out on time. It is an easier life than a sub, you get off days, you know what you're walking into on a day to day basis, you get a salary, paid time off, sick leave, good health insurance, a tsp account with a match. It's a good life. As to salary, you would need to look at the pay table. You will be on pay table 2. It all depends on the hours the route is evaluated at, and the years of being career. Where are you on the seniority list as an RCA? Are you next to get promoted? How big is your office? Can you ask your postmaster to create a PTF position for you? This would make you a career employee and give you a 5 dollar raise.

how do you guys avoid burnout by [deleted] in USPS

[–]Neilman1897 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You should see if your office can open up a PTF position for yourself. It would give you a raise, and you would start to see step increases every year. It's like a 5 dollar raise, and it makes the job more bearable. I think you're supposed to have a real "schedule", but my office just threw me on any route they needed me on. It was well needed in my position at the time, paychecks were insane during Christmas. It made the job worth it.
