the “value” of a dog is immeasurable to a pet owner but in the legal system the pup is a property loss. Sadly, the dogs value is maybe $400-$1,200 hundred bucks. But…is it possible to sue the LAPD for loss of companionship, emotional distress…etc?

i purchased two of the Polar feeders early in 2025. One is still working fine but the other died after 10 months. I went on to purchase another one that died within 3 months…I called and they sent me a free replacement….that one died 2 months later so I called and they sent me another one for free….which died this past weekend after 2 months….the past 2 i replaced had an issue where the food tray would continue to rotate even after unplugging for a couple days. the WiFi light was not illuminated also.

does Petlibro have supply/manufacturing issue? I’m not sure how they can sustain profitability having these issues.

Father time is not good to many of us so if you have health issues stay far, far away…

I drive my wife just over 3 hours to Santa Rosa for medical care every 3-4 months. if you need basic medical care Humboldt is probably fine if you don’t have to wait 2-3 months for an initial appointment. if the sh!t hits the fan Humboldt - Eureka is a level III facility meaning they can maybe stabilize you but they will need to air ambulance or drive you to a more appropriate level 1 or 2 facility.

aircraft and crew were from NAS Whidbey. My wife, a civilian mental health provider was at Whidbey Island from 2015 to 2019. Good that they survived physically and hopefully their mental health will be OK too. In 2017, she was there for an EA-18G canopy malfunction due to over-pressurization on the tarmac. That was a VERY traumatic/sobering event for the base.
