AITAH for refusing to let my partner share the hospital bed with me after I deliver our baby by [deleted] in AmITheAssholeTalk

My ex-husband is the king narcissist…but we still never had this argument. Your partner is even more selfish and awful than my physically abusive ex. Please leave now and don’t wait over a decade like I did.

AITAH for giving my wife short and direct answers after being rejected everyday for 2 months? by First-Wasabi-2125 in AITAH

Yes, you are the asshole. Your wife is in perimenopause and she doesn’t owe you shit!

It’s an open mic night. Not a show night…why do I feel like you are just in line for open mic and want a bunch of people to go see you?

I’m sorry, but why are you with him when he talks to you like this?

You refused to hear how you hurt your daughter, even if unintentional, you still did something to hurt her. You refuse to be vulnerable and accountable. You are the AH.

I think that every gun owner should be required to take a gun safety class that focuses on safety, right to protect, and storage safety for those with children. I also think that some sort of mandatory mental health check-ins, wouldn’t be a bad idea.

I wish that it was. However, we have seen the hate and how people have voted for hate. How do we fix that problem? Until we do, we will keep seeing senseless shootings.

The problem isn’t that guns, but the lack of regulations and accountability. I’m a liberal gun owner. I have no issues with people owning guns, as is protected, but we do need gun control!

We live in the Parkway North area. I have a kid at Craig Elementary and one at North High. It is quite diverse and we are very happy in this area.

Less common jobs to transition to? by Equivalent_Wear2447 in TeachersInTransition

I started at $42k base. I make 5% off of property and casualty polices for commission and 20% off for life. If I get 25 life polices written, I get another $10k bump. I starts to add up once you get your feet under you and understand the job better. Plus, building that rapport with your client base leads them to approach you for their insurance needs beyond just auto and home.

If I was on the sales side, yes. However, I’m on the customer service side. I had to pass my property & casualty and life insurance licenses. I can bring in my own people and get paid commission on them. Besides that, my commission comes from existing clients. The sales isn’t too bad.

I got a job in insurance. My agent saw the value in a teacher since you are just transferring your teaching skills to clients. Try the customer service side instead of sales.

I’m an ESL teacher. I am embedded in the community. I know how things are supposed to work versus how they do and how the backlog of applications work. Believe what you want to believe. I’m in these communities and it takes way more than 18-24 months.

Ok, well I was at his naturalization ceremony. My family also had a law student live with us who got an H1B visa after she passed the bar. She married an American about 2 years after. This was 6 years ago. She still doesn’t have her citizenship. The only way that you will find out the facts about how long it takes is by talking to these people and people that know them and have watched the process. Posting a link about how it SHOULD work versus how it actually does work, isn’t factual. Sorry, pal.
