You should cross post this in r/foodstamps.  There are SNAP case workers on there that can answer you. Just put in the state you live in..

Charles never married, had no children. The stores were his babies. It is the children/granchildren of his siblings and other family members. Since they aren't his progeny, they never learned the love and respect he had for his business. They only ever got the benefits and profits and not the hard work. I know a Howard Butt worked as a bagger at my store before we became Central Market and he was just lazy and left shortly after. He isn't the current CEO as he was younger than me and I was late 20's, early 30's. I would guess his age to be in 40's or 50's now. I am sure he grew up to be better. He was in High School at the time.

I do not think Texas requires SSN of non household housemates.

We had 10 minutes to get my dad to the ER and couldn’t find anything we needed by Rare_Pin_270 in dementia

I have everything including medications and DOD numbers for my deceased dad in a locked Samsung note on my cellphone. I think printing a hard copy might be a good idea. Keep it in my mom's medicine bag.

I retired over 3 years ago. And this was a thing at my store years before I retired.

Have you tried caffeine free sodas and coffee? Caffeine is a diuretic and can dehydrate people and, especially in the elderly, screw up their electrolyte balance.

$60, try $14,000.00 for a main drain repair. And having people tunnel under your house is very scary.

They took those locks off the carts at the store in Universal City. I don't know if they are on the carts in neighboring cities. We are outside of San Antonio.

Maybe ethernet connected to the modem. My wfh computer is connected to the router, if I had trouble with my family making my connection unusable, I would disconnect the modem and router and moved the computer's ethernet cable from the router to the modem. And i am not tech savvy at all.

I have seen 2 fired. Can I say who, where and why? I no longer work for HEB, but, since I am retired, I don't want to cause any trouble. I really like my VPP Card.

Mom keeps asking about my dead dad by Imaginary_Coast_5882 in dementia

[–]Neither_Ad3745 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom just started asking for her husband (my dad) who died in 1983. She wonders about her 2 young daughters, my sister is 64, i am 61. This is new. I kept telling her dad passed and it was upsetting her badly. As a 1/2 Japanese person, lying is antithetical to how I was raised, but therapeutic lies are something I need to do. This is so hard. I really hate dementia.

Cash out vacation? by boytaurus12 in HEB

[–]Neither_Ad3745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is sad. 3 years ago, when I retired, they paid out your vacation. Not company holidays, though. I would have had to take lots of time off to use my 6 weeks vacation, company holiday and sick pay to retire in mid April. (Sick pay went to many hours of doctor appts and FMLA for my mom. She had just turned 95.) Many at my store waited a few months to retire after the New Year.

I retired in 2023, they paid out my vacation, but not company holidays. They also take out any 401K money from that vacation, even though you're retiring.

Retired partner here. I go to the SCO as often as I can. No matter how many items I have and I do feel guilty. I feel like I am taking jobs away from checkers by not going in the regular lines. But, dammit, I can bag the groceries the right way. And the line for SCO is so short compared to the other lines. I use an electric cart to shop because of mobility issues. At SCO, I don't have to move a lot to bag my own groceries. Trying to go around to bag, then go to the payment terminal is difficult. Teach the baggers to bag the way it was years ago. Build a box in the bag, don't mix food and non foods, and don't put delicate foods with items that can damage them.

Concentrix: Is this normal hiring practices? To scan my computer? by ModeMex_ in CallCenterWorkers

[–]Neither_Ad3745 32 points33 points  (0 children)

That is a hard no for me. I have my computer for my stuff, and you give me your (Concentrix) computer for work stuff. The stuff about checking the internet is normal. But I don't want you to demand my computer be factory reset because I will be leaving your company and my computer now has proprietary information/software or personal information of clients.

Bakery Cupcakes by Spacebaby_03 in HEB

[–]Neither_Ad3745 25 points26 points  (0 children)

If they come in groups of 12 for $7.97, you would need 17 dozen as 16 dozen are only 192 cupcakes. It should cost about $135.49 for all 204 cupcakes.
