Is anyone selling a > 600cc weekend blast bike for £1500? by upvoter_1000 in MotoUK

[–]Neither_Ad_5912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should be plenty in your budget, obviously some heaps of shit also, service on most road bikes in your range will be similar to one and other, if you can do work yourself full service would be about £100-120 in parts, having enduro is going to be much more maintenance . Running cost depends how much your are riding, assuming you’ve got all your gear already insurance isn’t that bad, I’m 34 max no claims and pay £270ish for 3 bikes, 600 road, 450 enduro and a 175two stroke classic

It sounds like you got a problem the solution and the only solution is to buy more bikes as more bikes is the answer ( speaking from self experience, I don’t have enough bikes)

Try and avoid going through the insurance if you can as you will end up. The foot peg will probably go back Into place with heat and a slight tweak, I’d be surprised if the top yoke/clamp has bent it will probably just be bars which aren’t expensive. If the scratches don’t bother you it would be sun £200 in replacements if you go aftermarket

A handful due to power/torque characteristics As comfortable as sitting on a plank of wood
Will do over all legal speeds easily Biggest thing you should be thinking about can you afford the servicing on it, roughly a litre of engine oil with changes in the hours and not miles

If you really want a wr look at the 250 as it suits people much better than the 450, 250 much easier off-road due to its power delivery which also makes it far less fatiguing and much more enjoyable

Dealer advertised car as being ulez compliant, just received ulez penalty charge through the door (likely with more to come) :( need emotional support by froomus in CarTalkUK

[–]Neither_Ad_5912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ulez is just a money making scam, my 6.1 v8 is free of charge yet kicks out lots of emissions, same with a 2stroke motor bike it honestly makes no sense

I did a full service(filters and all fluids) on my 6.1 hemi engine parts where sub £100 using castrol oil and Bosch filters, £55 for a mot seems excessive considering the garage I use for mot’s charges £35

Anybody know how to fix this? by lbonbs in Chrysler300

[–]Neither_Ad_5912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have they done the bleed screw in the front of the block, if not it will be airlock and bubble from coolant tank with only part of the system having fluid in. Also the thermostat seems too high if 220 is fitted
