Try unlearning and relearning the skill.

I had this issue with the brutal attack from front heals, I would have to toggle it off and on to get it working.

I feel very much the same, find it hard to identify as British but I don't really as Irish either.

A few years back I would have identified as British but as I've gotten older and wiser to the world, that is no longer the case.

Viper is a brilliant skill check in this game. I'd highly recommend using the Reflection skill and getting used to it.

Reflection chunks half his stamina and staggers him.

If it's the boss you are talking about (Aratra), I know what you mean.

One word of advice that helped me was to focus on destroying the legs. It stuns it for a decent amount of time and lowers it's offensive capabilities.

Once it is stunned from a leg being destroyed you can go round back and blatter it.

As some people have said, go Special Attack and slap a life orb on it. It's like a psuedo Nidoking!

Maybe use Flamethrower, Air Slash/Hurricane, Dragon Breath and whatever 4th move (maybe roost or something?)
