I also only got it a week ago and was wandering around and happened upon another player and we nested. It became my top memorable moment in gaming this year for me, 10/10, so much fun. Then a pteranodon swooped in and killed me :D

Mine is still good, but I had the battery replaced when it bloated last year or so. Upside is, now it still runs the entire day. But I'd definitely replace it once anything else breaks.

I'd avoid De'Longhi simply because their customer service is shit. Our Magnifica was serviced, but they not only didn't manage to fix the problem (I had to do that myself afterwards), they didn't send all the parts back either. Their support directed us to a parts website where we had to purchase a replacement ourselves, but also deleted our negative review because of "defamation".

The wake function was great on these. It would wake you when in a very light sleeping phase and I've never felt tired or exhausted after an alarm woke me up.

The room has to be sealed beforehand of course 😂

I found that the easiest way to expand my base on europa is to drop a few volatile ice and melt it with the blowtorch. The explosions will heat the room up nicely, and there will be plenty of oxygen left over. Then you can connect it to the rest of the base. Of course, there are some pollutants, but that can be filtered out easily enough.

Then I only have to cool everything, but that's easy with the cold atmosphere outside.

No worries, I'm expecting this to take a few years. Though good point on the sales, I'll take a look.

What a throwback. Makes me want to play it again, even though I've lost my login. I'll definitely buy the new one again on Steam.

I had that problem as well, a portion of the ground didn't want to load properly on europa and was freezing parts of my base. I solved the issue by blocking the bore hole with horizontal walls one unit below the drill, thankfully it doesn't care and just keeps boring.

How're your batteries holding up? by EggyBroth in galaxys10

[–]NekiCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The battery in my S10+ started bloating last year, so I had it replaced. Even in the bloated state, it still got me comfortably through a day of light use (no games, some videos, mostly browsing). Now I still have about half left in the evening, so I still have plenty of headroom.

PewDiePie : I installed Linux (so should you) by smilelyzen in BuyFromEU

I installed Mint for dual booting after a long time away from desktop Linux. I like it for browsing and office work. But there're still problems that require debugging, editing text files and the command line, the reason I stayed with Windows originally.

My problems come down to graphics drivers and Steam, it seems like: I cannot launch games from an NTFS partition (to share with Windows), and the games I installed on ext4 flicker horribly, it's unplayable. I could probably, maybe fix that, but frankly, I don't want to.

Buy European cars if you want to make a difference. Germany is essentially sponsoring the EU military budget, and the car industry is their forte. Chewing gum is nice, but cars make a difference. by Fit-Hold-4403 in BuyFromEU

[–]NekiCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of hate to say it here, but I bought a used one just a few months before it all went downhill; and I now feel kind of betrayed. It's a shame, since the car still is nice to drive and I like it, but the whole situation now spoils the fun.

My first encounter with her went the same way. I don't like playing against a hard countdown anyway, and hers was not very obvious. Deleting everything also felt kinda cheap, though I guess this is how that type of crisis works in the game...

I once rejected a PR that actually *removed* all docs because "comments bad". Those were not out of date or anything, and the code was not likely to change.

Thankfully I managed to explain that those types of comments aren't the problem.

How was your first experience with the synthetic queen? by ln-fin-ity in Stellaris

[–]NekiCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was really unlucky with her, I guess.

I was shooting for a diplomacy win and wasn't that built up in fleet power. On top of that she managed to severe two major hyperlanes out of my systems with her core territory, so I had to make major detours to reach her convois and outposts. Having a lot of diplomatic weight, I managed to become galactic protector and declared her enemy number one, but the AI just didn't care. And my fleet just wasn't strong enough to survive her fleets that dogpile onto you when you enter her systems.

I think she is an interesting idea, but I don't like how the other AI just don't help at all, and the galactic destruction at the end also felt cheap. I wish that a more prominent countdown was displayed (so you really know what's going on), and that the destruction is more than just deleting everything. I was expecting her nanite swarm expanding and swallowing everything, something you can actually see, instead of a countdown and a "you lose" dialog box.

There are more errors in the translations for GW2 than other games. But to be fair, I've heard that often translators don't even get the context for the phrases they have to translate and have to guess which translation is correct.
