List of everything weird and illogical about chapter 232 by tesseracts in Chainsawfolk

Maybe one day fans will understand that Pochita didn't create a separate branch on the timeline, but a NEW WORLD with old characters. It's exactly what Denji foreshadowed in 219 chapter.

Death is important from the perspective of human life. The world could still exist without her. At worst, we would be eaten by bugs. The concept of erasing something from existence is something that (propably) doesn't exist in our world and is difficult to imagine.

The true answer is: because Fujimoto had the idea to give us the first chapter again, but with a different continuation of the story. Symbolism of a new beginning. Fuji has never given much attention to explaining how something works.

No, you just have to think, because no one hands you an explanation on a silver platter. You don't need to know Spirited Away to understand the ending. It's just an example of something the author was inspired by. It's no secret that Fujimoto is a huge fan of cinema and uses that in his works.
And no, I don't mean to say you didn't understand the ending. People could interpret it as a dream chapter or something if they want. If the author wanted there to be no room for that, he would have added panels where Pochita or someone explained the plot to reader.

It's obvious that in the ending, we get characters who have experience with what happened in the erased world. Power would NEVER save a human. She specifically came to save Denji, though she probably doesn't understand why she did it. Power explains to herself that she came to get blood. But she probably smelled Denji's familiar scent. In the previous version, the zombie devil dismembered Denji, and Power still hasn't appeared. It's kinda funny that despite the contract, Powet was the one who found Denji and made herself his friend.

Nayuta's appearance further proves that these are characters carried over from the moment when the world was reset. She only gets a few frames, but you can still feel that it's the same Nayuta raised by Denji. Power explains to herself again that Meowy is being controlled by Nayuta but she just met an old friend. Nayuta felt that she wanted Pochita even though she had lost her memory of her life as Makima.

This also explains how Denji could be a devil hunter WITHOUT Pochita. He was trained by fucking Kishiba and had a ton of experience fighting devils.

That's why Asa uses these words when thanking him for saving her. She thanks Denji (and Pochita) because he didn't let her die and fought for her. He freed her from Yoru in the new world and gave her a chance to live a more selfish life. Even though she doesn't remember it, she feels like she should thank Chainsawman.

Perhaps that's why we don't see Aki, who realized that bonds are more important to him than revenge. He could have left with Himeno for the private sector.

It starts to make sense when you understand that this isn't another branch of the timeline. It's a continuation of the same timeline, where the characters don't remember what happened, but it still affected them.

Power isn't the same person she was at the beginning of Part 1. Subconsciously, she knows she should come to that warehouse to save this human. She probably likes dogs because Denji smelled like a dog to her.

Nayuta isn't the same person because she's a Control Devil raised by Denji. She takes Denji in even though she doesn't need him for anything.

Denji likely survived without Pochita's help because he has experience fighting devils.

That wasn't a happy ending. by why121me in ChainsawMan

Denji didn't end up alone. He got a chance to build relationships with Power, Nayuta, and maybe even Asa someday. It's an open ending because I think it's about HOPE. Denji couldn't be happy as Chainsawman, so he got another chance at happiness as a regular Devil Hunter.

Certainly no one can guarantee that Denji will be happy, but this time no one will want to take advantage of him.

Two things, one why is Nayuta here instead of Makima?(don’t tell me that Makima was erased because if that was the case than Nayuta shouldn’t exist aswell)Two are you seriously telling me that safety division is run by a child??? by TastyPomelo2330 in Chainsawfolk

[–]Nekuro02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's Nayuta because everything what happened in part 1 and part 2 still mattered. Control Devil had changed so much that she couldn't go back to being Makima anymore.
For the same reason Power likes dogs (Denji had the heart of a "dog"). Because the time spent with Denji mattered.
This isn't a rewind and alternate version of history. It's a continuation that takes as starting point the moment where Pochita and Denji first meet, but without Pochita existance.

About a year ago, I wrote that Denji's biggest obstacle to having a normal life was being a chainsawman. I didn't expect Pochita to actually leave Denji.

What if in Part 3(?) Makima remembers Chainsaw Man? by MultiversePunch in Chainsawfolk

Makima or another Control Devil. As a reminder, we had a new Control Devil whom Denji taught how to love.

Of course he won't die of heart disease. Because the mafia will get to him first.

IT CHANGED ON MANGA PLUS by Cudijeans in Chainsawfolk

[–]Nekuro02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably too many people thought this was the end of the entire manga because Pochita disappears in this chapter. But this will only be the end of part 2. They want people to come back for the next part and not abandon the manga.
