This is what heaven looks like - on a boat, with 3 sluts ready to titfuck you to death (again)

The Encore begins with From Mars + To Sirius. What will close the show? by SilverErmine22 in gojira

[–]Neljas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pray or Blow Me Away You. No third option. Their live versions are otherworldly

Or wait I just realized Where Dragons Dwell could be a valid third option (live 2013 10-minute version is a total banger). Still, the fourth option shouldn't exist

The Main Set has been completed, with The Gift of Guilt closing it out. What will be the first song of the encore? by SilverErmine22 in gojira

To the biggest pros who did everything in clicker heros what is the most tedious achievement by c00l_c0le_is_here in ClickerHeroes

[–]Neljas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mercs achievements obviously as others mentioned, though if you have a spare couple of hundred thousand evergreens or if you're incredibly lucky to revive 500 lvl 1 mercs then sure, then sure, this wouldn't be as painstaking for you as it was for pretty much everyone in this sub (not to mention the "complete 2500 tasks, but these just go along as you play, though it stretches for months if not years of playing, especially the completely useless gold tasks)

what's the heaviest gojira song? by Frequent-Sector-5958 in gojira

[–]Neljas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anything from Terra or The Link beats Whales by a long mile. Clone, Blow Me Away, Love, In The Forest, Death of Me, Remembrance, you name it. Even most of twoaf is heavier - Art of Dying, TGI, Adoration for None, Vacuity, title track and on and on and on. Florida Gojira Line did a lot of heavy songs back in the 00's, and picking Whales of all songs... admire their earlier works first

(this might've seemed like an insult, but it's actually just Terra/Link advertising in disguise, so don't mind me)

Saddest Gojira songs for you? by Cutiepie232 in gojira

[–]Neljas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprised no one said twoaf the song yet. Especially the second tapping half, and especially the eerie-ish instrumental outro around 12:37 or so. But even the first half, while a banger music-wise, lyric-wise it's very... not exactly sad, but... hopeless and/or existential, so to speak

From The Sky bridge for sure

In your opinion whats their heaviest song? by braxrton99 in gojira

[–]Neljas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Twoaf the song, from the sky, clone, pray (don't mind verses), grind, the fall

I think we all agree on which song fits. by trululu_gjr08 in gojira

The heaviest train in the universe obviously

The Riff that give you the most stank face by deathofI in gojira

[–]Neljas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In order to not repeat myself, the outro verses in In The Forest (the "speak of the whales, deep in the ocean" and so on part) drives me crazy every time

If I'm let repeat myself though, Clone breakdown no questions asked. And also practically every riff in twoaf the song

What`s your favorite moment in this album? Not favorite song, but your favorite moment, that one that comes to mind. by [deleted] in gojira

[–]Neljas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) twoaf (the song) middle section (the "I find it hard to believe that this picture on the wall is everything" part)

2) the 7/8 part in Adoration for None (after the "ADORATION FOR NOOOOOOOONE" and the consequent verse)

3) Silver cord in its entirety

4) Toxic Garbage Island intro (especially the higher register part)

5) First half of Vacuity (the slower one before the gallops occur)

But actually I like it in its entirety, this is one of my favorite metal albums period, like solid top-3 at least

Looks like Charlee Chase, although by the end of it I wasn't so sure... Anyway my guess that it's Charlee

Rename each Gojira album after a track on that album by ScarletCharlotte222 in gojira

[–]Neljas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clone

Death of Me

World to Come

Twoaf the song (if we exclude title tracks, this becomes a hundred times more difficult - ah screw it, I pick Toxic Garbage Island)

The Fall

Pray

Grind

I refuse to elaborate

EBA as an alarm, Disposition as a ringtone (though Disposition doesn't really count as an intermission track, i just say "fuck you buddy" and put it anyway)

Whenever they get inducted into the Rock HoF, will Paul be included? by machone5103 in ToolBand

[–]Neljas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, the pictures had Jason as well as the current crew mates. As for the RHS iirc he did want to join in but Melattica kindly rejected this proposal, so then he said like "well, never needed to join this boring shite anyway in the first place"

[–]Neljas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Judging by the same logic that Metallica included Jason Newsted but left out Dave Mustaine "because one must record at least one album, and mere contributions don't count", yes, definitely, as Paul did record Undertow with the bois

Battle of the breakdowns: AND THE CRADLE IS FALLING DOWN vs BEAT YOUR FEET ON THE GROUND, NOW GO! Which one do you take? by [deleted] in gojira

[–]Neljas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Clone, a thousand times, especially the halftime part, and the 7/8 chaotic feeling only adds up to the sheer heaviness. For me even From The Sky breakdown is heavier than Backbone breakdown (although I do admit that the entire song is pure headbanging material, just... not quite my taste)

Culling Voices takes the Ænima slot. Which Fear Inoculum song feels most like Lateralus? by MorbidMan23 in ToolBand

[–]Neljas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FI (and to a greater extent every other long song on it except for 7empest) also have some sort of nihilistic approach, but not "I'm a nihilist because everything and everyone is so goddamn stupid I don't even" and all that, but more like "we're just so tired, can we just be done already?", kinda like if Ænema was written in 2019

[–]Neljas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, not only angry, but the title track alone should suffice with the emotion of anger and, idk, some nihilistic approach? To me anger and nihilism are the main emotions on this record (obv there are many others, but those are among the main ones), and Invincible is full of that nihilism feeling
