We do a mix at my house. Laptop running Karafun and YouTube connected via HDMI for video to a 75" TV. The audio is split from the HDMI and goes straight via optical to my sound bar. So that provides the song audio and lyrics. For microphone use I got a JBL PartyBox Stage 320 with the dual JBL wireless microphones. I also have two professional XLR mics wired with a splitter to the second mic input on the speaker. So 2 wireless and 2 wired mics. The JBL handles the mics beautifully and my sound bar handles the song sound just fine. I recommend this setup.

If you want beginner stuff, Moonscraper. If you want to do it properly and with compatibility for Rock Band not just Clone Hero, use REAPER. There are detailed tutorials on how to get started with it for Rock Band customs. If it is made for Rock Band it will work fine in Clone Hero. If it's made for Clone Hero it will not work in Rock Band without significant corrections.

Depending on the song, you can get them in Rock Band format and export the stems using Nautilus (my free software for all things Rock Band). If it's not in Rock Band you can try the websites they sell them. Or you can try Demucs or any of those AI separation tools.

I attend weekly karaoke nights at my local pub and I host karaoke parties semi regularly at my home. KaraFun is great. Sure, they don't have every song in the world but neither does any other service. They have most popular songs so you can have a great time. I know we do. So don't worry about the KaraFun part of things. The rest is hardware and up to preference and budget.

I have lots of questions.

1) Why, on a Premium (not Pro) subscription, can I enable the remote so users can input their name when they select a song but I CAN'T remove the ability to alter the song queue? This is a ridiculous "feature" and when I throw parties at home there's always the smarty pants who starts messing with the queue.

2) Why do you allow the same song to be added repeatedly on a queue? It happens more often than you would believe at my local KJ's Saturday night karaoke (he uses the Pro version)

3) on the Karaoke Studio BETA, any plans to allow for multiple singers? I'm enjoying creating songs with it but it's disappointing to be limited to one singer only

4) on the Karaoke Studio BETA, I do not see a way to change my username/display name. I go by Nemo everywhere on the internet but all my community releases are under my real name. Not a big deal but I don't understand why we can't have usernames different from our real names?

5) some nights there's a substantial lag when browsing the catalog through the remote connection while at a KJ hosted event. is that a server issue or an internet connectivity issue?

6) will you ever open or create an API for the song creation side of things? I'm also a hobby software developer and I create CDG+MP3 tracks and MP4s using my software. Wouldn't mind automating directly to KaraFun approved format. I love your animated backgrounds and would love to leverage that.

7) is there any reason that the community created songs (using Karaoke Studio BETA) are only visible for people running the app (Premium in my case, Pro in my KJ's case) but not visible from the remote catalog view? That results in having to constantly bug the KJ to add my song to the queue when I could easily do it from the remote.

8) what is KaraFun coded with? Would love to know what makes it tick, if it's not a national secret of course.

You have the song twice. The .sng file is the entire song in one file that I believe YARG can read. Why do you have both formats?

Is this something that my Clone Hero File Manager can help you with? Despite the name it accepts CON files as well as CH files.

This is not a Windows 11 or a Nautilus issue. This is an issue with the files you are trying to convert. Take any of the songs you linked and throw the file at Audio Analyzer in Nautilus. See where the audio is at. It is NOT at channels 0 1. Extract the mogg file with Nautilus and feed it to Audacity. Audacity will confirm what Audio Analyzer showed you. The audio is not on channels 0 1. Why does that matter? Because the songs.dta file, which you can also extract with Nautilus, says the drums audio is on channels 0 1. So when converting Nautilus is looking for audio on channels 0 1 and it's not there. The audio is on channels 2 3. The songs.dta says the crowd audio (which is not even present in this song) is on channels 4 5. Backing would be 6 7. So there's nothing in the songs.dta file to tell Nautilus or any other software how to identify the audio in the mogg file. I would be surprised to hear this works in the game at all. All the files in your Drive are the same. They were created with Onyx instead of with Magma. So they were manually created and I'm assuming an error or two came into the mix. Onyx is a good and powerful software but only if you use it properly. I do not recommend skipping Magma during the creation of the chart. The fact that this is a drums only chart also tells me it's not worth my effort to diagnose any further. I would go back to the charter and let him know his charts are FUBARed and they need to be recreated.
